On March 28, at the National Centre RUSSIA, the Movement of the First signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education (Abilympics). During the IV Congress of the Movement of the First, the document was signed by Hero of Russia, participant of the presidential program "Time of Heroes," and Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First, Artur Orlov, along with the Vice-Rector of the Institute for Vocational Education, Nadezhda Malkina. Together, the organizations will continue to create opportunities for the development and support of children and young people with disabilities.

The organizations' work will focus on developing professional skills among young people, facilitating their integration into modern society, and ensuring equal opportunities for all participants, regardless of their physical or other characteristics.

"The agreement between the Movement of the First and the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education is a significant step toward expanding opportunities for the development and support of children and young people with disabilities. We plan to implement a series of joint events, exchange experiences, and provide training for specialists of the Movement of the First in the regions based at resource and training methodological centres of secondary vocational education, as well as regional training centres for Abilympics experts," noted Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First, Artur Orlov.

The organizations will carry out joint events and projects aimed at supporting the development of participants of the Movement of the First with disabilities. Specialists of the Movement in the regions will have the opportunity to receive training at vocational educational institutions, resource and training methodological centres of secondary vocational education, and regional training centres for Abilympics experts.

"Signing the agreement with the Movement of the First marks the beginning of joint projects focused on the future. In this future, today's boys and girls will create and build. Our goal is to inspire them with a love for work, show them the limitless opportunities for self-fulfillment, and strengthen their patriotic values. Today, the system of secondary vocational education offers a fast track into a profession, a chance to become the architect of one’s own destiny by building it on the solid foundation of a sought-after specialty. The projects implemented by the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education, such as "Professionalism," the All-Russian Championship Movement, and the Abilympics movement, are bridges connecting the dreams of youth with reality. I am confident that our partnership will become a powerful impetus for the development of a society of creation, where everyone has the opportunity to showcase their talents and contribute to the prosperity of the country," said the Vice Rector of the Institute for Vocational Education, Nadezhda Malkina.

The participants of the Movement of the First will have the opportunity to take part in the national and regional Abilympic" championships, as well as in the regional championships in professional skills "Professionals." The experts of Abilympics will join the All-Russian "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign, the Movement of the First Festival, and regional events involving children and youth with disabilities.

The Movement of the First pays great attention to the inclusion of children with disabilities in the organization’s main events. The First are creating an accessible environment, which has led to the development of special tracks for the participation of children with disabilities in all flagship projects and key large-scale events. For instance, students with disabilities participated in the IV Congress of the Movement of the First, and during the broadcast of the Supervisory Board meeting and the Congress meeting, sign language interpretation was provided for the children.

The IV Congress of the Movement of the First is taking place from March 26 to 28 at the National Centre RUSSIA. This is the highest governing body of the Movement, which creates a space for co-creation among the main participants of the educational process — children, parents, and mentors. The IV Congress brought together over two thousand participants from 89 regions of Russia. The events clearly demonstrate the ideas of the Movement of the First, where schoolchildren and students are the initiators of projects, as well as the transmitters of the country's traditional values.
