Winners of best sports projects in Season VI of the All-Russian competition "You’re in the Game" named at the National Centre RUSSIA
On 3 July,
the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the awards ceremony for Season VI of the
All-Russian competition of sports projects "You're in the Game",
bringing together the authors of the best initiatives. The event was attended
by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Sofia
Malyavina, Director General of the ANO "National Priorities"; Yevgenia
Medvedeva, two-time silver medallist at the Olympic Games and two-time world
champion in figure skating, and members of the competition's expert council.
For the
sixth consecutive year, the "You're in the Game" competition has been
organised by the ANO "National Priorities" with the support of the
Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation under the state programme
"Sport of Russia". The competition's key objectives are to identify
and support promising sports projects that encourage Russians to take up regular
physical activity and help promote an active lifestyle. The projects span
dozens of sports — from high-tech disciplines to adaptive and inclusive sport.
Over six seasons, the competition has become the country's leading platform for
discovering and developing the best Russian sports initiatives.
"The
competition 'You're in the Game' is All-Russian not just in name but in
practice: we received 27,000 applications from participants. Sports enthusiasts
are making a huge contribution to achieving the national goal set by our
President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin — for 70% of citizens to exercise
regularly. All the necessary conditions are being created in our country to
make this possible. The Russian Government supports numerous sports programmes,"
noted Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Winners
were announced in five main categories: "Children in Sport",
"Starting Point", "Scale", "Transformation in
Sport", and "Limitless Possibilities", as well as in three
partner categories ("Corporate Sport", "Sports Tourism",
"Media").
"The
President of our country, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, has repeatedly
emphasised that sport builds character and instils the values of a healthy
lifestyle. This is precisely what the 'You're in the Game' competition is aimed
at. It is held within the framework of the state programme 'Sport of Russia' by
the Ministry of Sport and the ANO "National Priorities". Over the
years, competition projects have reached more than 24 million people. In this
season alone, over six thousand applications were submitted, with a total reach
of around four million people. Every year, the number of initiatives aimed at
supporting children, the elderly, people with disabilities, veterans and
combatants continues to grow. I wish all participants, enthusiasts and sports
lovers faith, hope and love — because it is love for Russia and for sport that
unites us all," said Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sport of the Russian
Federation and Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee.
The Grand
Prix winner, receiving 1 million roubles, was the project from the Rostov
Region, named Vertigo Sports, presented in the "Transformation in
Sport" category. Its creators developed and patented a Russian technology
for generating ocean-type artificial waves, making surfing accessible and
widely available even far from the coast.
Sofia
Malyavina, Director General of the ANO "National Priorities",
highlighted the qualitative changes and trends of the sixth season: "There
are more and more enthusiasts building modern sports communities around
themselves, where everyone can join in. The categories 'Children in Sport' —
with 1,414 applications — and 'Starting Point' — with 1,381 applications —
received a particularly strong response. This indicates a high demand for the development
of children's sport and shows that more and more people are ready to launch
their own sports projects at the local or regional level. The partner
categories have also grown, as sport is increasingly expanding beyond the gym
or playing field, becoming part of travel and corporate culture. Another
notable trend of this season is the diversification of sports formats
themselves. While classical disciplines used to dominate the applications, we
now see a growing popularity of various martial arts, mass sports events and
unconventional original projects."
First place
in the "Transformation in Sport" category went to the project
Trekkingmania.ru from the Republic of Bashkortostan. In the "Starting
Point" category, the winner was the extreme sports school "Rider
Kids" from the Perm Territory. The project "PARATENNIS RF" from
Moscow took the award in the "Limitless Possibilities" category. In
the "Children in Sport" category, the best project was "Open Sky"
from Sevastopol, while the "Scale" category was won by the amateur
biathlon cup "Pioneer Cup" from Moscow.
In the
partner categories, the winners were the project "DvizhOK" from the
Moscow Region ("Corporate Sport"), "Kamchatka Trail-1" from
the Kamchatka Territory ("Sports Tourism"), and "Sportopyt"
from Moscow ("Media").
A public
vote was held during the competition, with 250 semi-finalists taking part. The
winner was the project "Football in the Village of Lovozero 2.0" from
the Murmansk Region. Its author, firefighter Yanis Shebut, received a special prize
from the Sport Business Consulting (SBC) magazine — a feature article about his
initiative on the website and in the printed edition of the magazine.
The
competition's partners included Championat, Iron King, Tricolor, the Russian
International Olympic University (RIOU), Sport Business Consulting (partner of
the "Public Vote"), the Sports Tourism Federation of Russia and the
sailing community "Sila Vetra" (Power of the Wind). Information
partners included Izvestia, Championat, RTVI and Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
The 9th meeting of the Russia-India Working Group on Priority Investment Projects took place at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow.
