Plans for the development of the Voronezh region were discussed at the National Centre RUSSIA

The cycle of meetings with the heads of the Russian regions titled "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 steps" continues to be held at the National Centre RUSSIA. On 9 September, as part of the Days of the Voronezh Region, a meeting with Alexander Gusev, Governor of the region, was held.

The topics of the meeting were the strategic directions of the region's development: automation and robotization of production enterprises, the introduction of new technologies in industry, as well as the policy of preserving people, and active longevity. The Governor paid special attention to the development of healthcare, the introduction of online medicine and the promotion of creative industries as an important resource of the future.

"This exposition allows us to talk about the future and show how we see it. We have chosen the right topics: keeping people preserved, active longevity, automation and robotization of production. All this creates a foundation for the sustainable future of the Voronezh region and Russia," Alexander Gusev said.

Alexey Gordeev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, reminded that in the Central Black Earth Region, the city of Voronezh is the only city with a population of one million people: "This is the number one region in the Central Black Earth Region. If we talk about the Russian Federation as a whole, we are also among the top half: judging by almost all key indicators, we are in the top twenty regions. It is especially important, if you pay attention to forward looking indicators, such as business conditions and the investment climate, that the latest data show that the Voronezh region is among the top ten regions of Russia. This, of course, is the key to future development."

The region has a solid foundation to take steps into the future, said Galina Karelova, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Northern Affairs.

"I am very glad that today's main agenda is about people, and for people: I'm talking about active longevity. This topic, at least for me, as a specialist with extensive experience in the social sphere, is of particular importance. I would like to note that we have been waiting for it for a very long time, but to have this project working, we had to create a lot, and respond to numerous new challenges," the senator stressed.

After the meeting with the Governor, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Government of the Voronezh region and the "Russian Student Teams" Youth Organization. Besides, distinguished representatives of the regional student teams received Commendations from the Governor.

During the week, guests of the National Centre RUSSIA will enjoy a gastronomic festival, autograph sessions with athletes, presentations of pilot projects — from the Metrobus to the Animation House, as well as concerts and workshops.
