The 4th International Documentary Film Festival "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" to be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
From 21 to 23 February, the 4th International Documentary Film Festival "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA. The audience programme will include 38 films by renowned Russian and international authors. These are films by war correspondents from RT, Channel One, Russia 1, NTV, Channel 360, RIA Novosti, and independent documentary filmmakers.
Among the premieres is the film "Reconstruction of the Soul of Donbass" by RT.Doc military documentary filmmaker Yekaterina Kitaitseva, about the restoration of churches in Donbass destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Guests of the event will also be among the first to see the film "Bloody Stooges of the West" about female politicians whose common trait is a thirst for power coupled with bloodthirstiness. The documentary is made by the well-known producer, screenwriter, and director Tatyana Borshch.
This year, the "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" festival will feature an expanded international programme. Documentary filmmakers from 13 countries will take part in it: from Algeria, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Iran, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Over 3,000 applications from more than 100 countries were submitted for participation.
As part of the business programme, the panel discussion "SVOi Rodnye" ("Our Dear Ones in the SMO") will address the rehabilitation and adaptation of the special military operation veterans. At the roundtable titled "No Statute of Limitations", entrants will present evidence of Kyiv's war crimes. And in the discussion named "Partisans of Truth", directors and journalists from different countries will discuss why, despite pressure and bans, documentary filmmakers continue to speak the truth.
The opening ceremony of the "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" festival will be held on 21 February at 17:00. The closing ceremony and a grand festive concert dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day, organised jointly with the National Centre RUSSIA, will commence on 23 February at 17:30.
Also, throughout all three days of the event, the festival guests will be able to enjoy performances by contemporary poets — Dmitry Artis, Olga Starushko, Dinara Kerimova, and others. They will read their works, which are included in RT's poetry collections "Poetry of the Russian Summer" and "Poetry of the Russian Winter".
A display of paintings titled "Heroes of Our Time" will be held at the festival. It features 30 works. To see it, you need to register for any of the events of the festival.
"RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" is an international travelling audience documentary film festival that has existed for three years to date. The goal of the festival is to convey the truth about the special military operation to the entire world.
The festival programme unites films by Russian and international documentary filmmakers about defenders of the Fatherland, war correspondents, volunteers, military doctors, and other patriotic heroes, emphasising interethnic and interfaith harmony in the face of a common threat. The festival's collection comprises over 200 films.
Over three years, the "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" festival and screenings of its programme films have taken place in 65 Russian regions and more than 30 countries, including Nato and EU states.
