In the framework of the Open Dialogue at the National Centre RUSSIA, experts noted the growing interconnection of the economies of different countries
The international project Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA from April 28 to 30. One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world participating in the project. As part of this direction, a pitch session was held on April 28 with the participation of world-class experts.
Experts noted the growing interconnection of the economies of different countries, which is driven by the development of international trade, transport infrastructure, and digital technologies, the growth of information flows, and other factors. Dialogue participants discussed issues related to accelerating economic growth through strategic investments, the prospects for expanding international cooperation, and shared their personal expectations regarding the new platform for global growth.
The essayist from Romania, Vice President of the "European Geopolitic Multipolarity Alliance" (EGMA), Atudorei Calistrat, emphasized that multipolarity carries universal value, but Western society still refuses to recognize this concept.
"We see that Western leaders are doing everything they can to preserve unipolarity, imposing the view that the Western model of world existence is the only best one. But we believe that these values are universal, unlike what the Western community is trying to impose on us. Democracy, human rights, freedom — these are our common values. And we see that multipolarity is beneficial, as relations between countries develop on equal grounds, as it should be between sovereign states. And we are already seeing, for example, that the BRICS organization is leading countries towards prosperity and well-being," said Atudorei Calistrat.
During the presentation of the pilot project aimed at developing communication strategies, the essayist, postgraduate student, and journalist Solomon Gardie (Ethiopia) emphasized the importance of effective information exchange between countries. He also pointed out the potential high returns on investments in this area.
"We must tell the outside world about ourselves. For this, a large-scale multilingual platform is needed, which will distribute various types of content in different languages. It is also necessary to prepare new generations of journalists. Without this, effective communication is impossible. I am convinced that intergovernmental investments in communication infrastructure will yield high returns. Through our pilot project, we will be able to create about 50,000 jobs in the creative economy, gain 20% of the media space for the Global South, and by 2030, we will tell our culture to 500 million viewers, as well as achieve equality without imposing any ideas," emphasized Solomon Gardie.
Doctor of Economics, Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, Juan Antonio de Castro de Arespacochaga (Spain) spoke about the importance of the Open Dialogue from the perspective of exchanging new ideas for global growth and building the future.
"During today’s meeting, we discovered that many new, interesting, and very reasonable positions and proposals have emerged, and I believe that the platform of the Open Dialogue is an excellent opportunity to advance and bring these ideas to life. We must develop together, convey to the broader public what is happening in the BRICS countries, and demonstrate the contribution these countries can make to the future of a multipolar world," said Juan Antonio de Castro de Arespacochaga.
As a result of the pitch sessions, the authors of the best ideas in the "Investments in Connectivity" track were given the opportunity to participate in the panel pitch of the second day of the Open Dialogue on April 29. The highest evaluations from experts went to Faisal Javaid, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations at the Federal University of Arts, Science, and Technology of Pakistan; Berki Roland, co-founder of STRELA (Hungary); Wang Hongyue, a student at Tianjin Foreign Studies University (China); Vera Cervantes Victor Daniel, National Coordinator for Public Relations and Education of the International Astronomical Union (Peru); Sonkar Suman, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at Lakshmibai College, University of Delhi (India); and economist Potvin Joseph (Canada).
