Institute of Social Architecture to be created in Russia
In order to quickly respond to social changes in the world, the Institute of Social Architecture will be founded on the basis of the "Russia — Land of Opportunity" platform. The main directions of the new institution will be social modeling and social design. This was stated by Alexander Kharichev, Head of the Presidential Directorate for Monitoring and Analysis of Social Processes, during the first day of the International Symposium "Inventing the Future" at the National Centre RUSSIA on 7 October.
"Why do I separate the concepts of social modeling and design? Modeling is closer to making models based on forecasts. And design is the development of projects and their implementation," explained Alexander Kharichev.
According to Kharichev, these will be two types of projects. The first is working with the public consciousness, actualizing certain values and social attitudes with it. Such projects as the "Immortal Regiment" or the National Centre RUSIA, can serve as excellent examples here. The second type is projects that solve social problems. So the project "To Live in the North", which is supervised by the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrei Chibis, has changed the migration trend. For the first time, more people started coming to the region than leaving it.
"The Institute of Social Architecture will resemble a development bureau, which will create models based on forecasts, and will take into account these technological changes both in communication, and in general in the social environment and social groups. The people implementing this project will also try to build social models of change, as well as develop and implement other projects," said Alexander Kharichev.
The "Russia — Land of Opportunity" platform was created on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It helps citizens to get opportunities for their development, regardless of where they were born and what profession they chose.
