At the School of Young Tour Guides at the National Centre RUSSIA, another lesson was held in an unusual format
Young tour guides, captivated by the art of showcasing the exposition "Journey Across Russia" at the National Centre RUSSIA, participated in another session of the School of Young Tour Guides. The lesson was conducted in an unusual format: the teachers decided to focus on developing the freedom of behavior in front of an audience and expressiveness of speech.
The session was conducted by the project leader of the "School of Young Tour Guides," actress and GITIS graduate, Yevgenia Sirota. The main goal of the meeting was to help the children overcome shyness, learn to engage their imagination, and develop the skills for free communication.
"A tour is like a small performance, where the tour guide plays the leading role. Your task is to make the tour lively, interesting, and unforgettable, so the audience feels the magic of the moment, connects with the story, and enjoys the mini-journey. The main rule for a tour guide is sincerity, freedom, and openness. Impressions make us happier — let's share them with each other," noted the acting teacher Yevgenia Sirota.
During the session, participants engaged in exercises to develop memory, speech, and freedom of movement. Special attention was paid to voice training, speech clarity, the ability to express emotions in thoughts, and presenting material correctly to an audience.
The "School of Young Tour Guides" project launched at the National Centre RUSSIA on February 1 as a continuation of the tradition established at the International RUSSIA EXPO. The classes are designed for schoolchildren from Moscow and the Moscow region, aged 9 to 17. The project's educators immerse the children in the world of history, art, nature, and technology, introduce them to the cultural legacy of the country, and help refine speech techniques and train public speaking skills. At the end of the training, young guides will conduct tours for guests of the National Centre RUSSIA.
