"It is important to find the right approach": how stand attendants help guests of the RUSSIA EXPO
Regional expositions are rightly considered to be one of the main components of the RUSSIA EXPO. Thousands of people come to see them every day. To a large extent, the success of each stand depends on how guests are greeted by the exposition workers - stand attendants. They are responsible for making sure that every visitor to the pavilion finds something interesting and leaves with a smile.
The exposition of the Irkutsk region attracts guests with its unusual design, VR-attractions and a unique photo zone. Where else can you take a picture in real jade boots? Today the art-object is especially popular, though the queue is small, but those wishing to try on stone shoes appear constantly. And all thanks to one smiling girl.
Volunteer stand attendant Ekaterina Kachimskaya greets guests tirelessly: she has a kind word for everyone, jokes and compliments, as well as interesting facts about the Irkutsk region. For example, about Baikal and seals, about jade and its unusual properties. According to the girl, she did not prepare for the work in any way, it is just important for her to love and know her native region.
"The stand presents everything that we are proud of. Of course, we have a lot to tell! And that's why it's very pleasant that many people, especially young people, come to us, they ask us about Irkutsk, about Baikal," the volunteer shared her impressions.
Ekaterina has been working at the exposition for only a couple of weeks, but she has already managed to win people's hearts. She helps the guests to make the most beautiful photos: she finds the right angles, does not forget to offer a sign with a funny inscription or a soft toy to make the photo more interesting, and she constantly acts as a photographer. But most importantly, she really understands how to entice guests and make them fall in love with the Irkutsk region in a few minutes.
"People come in different colors, they all have different interests, but it's important to find an approach to everyone. You see a person and understand how to make them interested, how to present your region in a beautiful and deserved way. I usually feel what mood a person comes in, how best to give them information. Maybe send them to dive on Baikal or give them the opportunity to find information on our interactive stand, or take a nice picture of the person and tell them something," explains Ekaterina.
Of course, it does not do without funny incidents. After a photo session in jade boots literally every second man tries to leave in them, despite the fact that each weighs several kilograms. And sometimes guests ask really tricky questions.
"On the first day of my work I was asked what that house was made of. It is a model of one of the exhibits in the museum of wooden architecture "Taltsy". I know for sure that the originals are made of larch. But I didn't know about the model, and nobody did. We, of course, quickly found out everything. Turns out it's made of larch too. But the man who puzzled us all ran away - without waiting for an answer. And now we're looking for him. We hope he will come back so that we can answer him after all," Ekaterina concluded.
Let us remind you that the expositions of the regions are presented in Pavilion No. 75, they are available every day, except for technical days. We have reported earlier about the changes in the exposition schedule.
The integration of special military operation veterans into peaceful life and the interaction between regions and municipalities were discussed as part of the Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA".
The second All-Russian Municipal Forum "Small Homeland – the Strength of Russia" is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA.
