On June 13, the "Knowledge" Society held an open dialogue at the RUSSIA EXPO with Vyacheslav Fetisov, a two-time Olympic hockey champion, merited master of sports of the USSR, merited coach of Russia and first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. The meeting took place in Pavilion No. 34 as part of the III Moscow Jazz Festival.
Vyacheslav Fetisov answered questions about the relationship between music and sport. He noted that music is very important for athletes as it helps set the right mood and creates a festive atmosphere at competitions.
"Sport itself is music. Hockey is a unique game, full of improvisation, and winning without inspiration is impossible. When you go to a game and music is playing in the stadium, it creates a festive feeling and the understanding that the melody sets the tone for the game. I know musicians who also play hockey — they probably draw inspiration from it. Therefore, these are interconnected things," said Vyacheslav Fetisov.
The renowned hockey player also answered questions about the development of domestic sports and its role in fostering a healthy generation.
