Hanging lakes and the oldest volcano in Karelia: what Aino will tell about at the RUSSIA EXPO
The
Republic of Karelia attracts tourists from all over the world thanks to its
unique nature and famous monuments of wooden architecture. The Exposition
guests have an opportunity to discover the secrets of the amazing region thanks
to modern technologies.
At the
exposition of Karelia, you can see almost everything the region is famous for.
This is a famous retro train that goes to Ruskeala mountain park and wooden
models of exhibits from the "Kizhi" museum-reserve. On the huge
screens the natural wonders change each other: forests, mountains and lakes,
and the river "flows" under your feet, but so fast that you may even
feel a little dizzy.
And if you
want to learn more about the region, you can always talk to the local guide -
digital avatar Aino. The beautiful girl in national costume will tell you a lot
of interesting things. For example, few people know that the region has the
most ancient volcano Girvas, unique hanging lakes, as well as petroglyphs,
which are older than the Egyptian pyramids.
After
chatting with Aino, you can further test artificial intelligence and draw a
picture with the help of a neural network. The result is impressive, even if
you have never painted. You can get the finished image on your phone.
The event
is organized by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and
the Arctic, with support from Norilsk Nickel PJSC and the Rosatom State
Corporation.
"Aldan"
is a dramatic film based on true events.
The
National Centre RUSSIA operates from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 22:00.
