Windows of the New Year: the National Centre RUSSIA hosted a repeat of the unique concert dedicated to Christmas
On January
14, due to numerous requests from guests of the National Centre RUSSIA, the
venue hosted a repeat of the multigenre musical evening "New Year
Windows." The vibrant concert program, dedicated to the history and
traditions of Christmas night, featured performances by soloists of the Bolshoi
Theatre Agunda Kulayeva and Ksenia Dezhneva, soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre
Natalia Pavlova, Andrei Serov, and Alexander Trofimov, European Champion,
eight-time Russian Champion, and World Champion in beatboxing Vakhtang, the
Arielle choir, and other artists.
Viewers of
all ages gathered to celebrate the Old New Year alongside the performers. The
program was divided into three consecutively unveiled thematic
"windows." The first showcased the tradition of Russian folk
festivities. In the second block, through operatic compositions, the audience
learned about the traditions of Christmas balls and appreciated their beauty
and sophistication. The concert concluded with the block "Family
Celebration. Present": beloved songs from Soviet cinema were performed,
accompanied by the Russian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.
The
conductors for the evening were brilliant musicians — Merited Artist of Russia
Pavel Sorokin and the Russian-Italian conductor and pianist Fabio Mastrangelo.
The
interactive elements allowed the audience to fully experience the atmosphere of
folk festivities. Stylized festive procession began right in the auditorium.
Members of the Paraskyeva ensemble, dressed in traditional costumes, joyfully
paraded through the rows. Armed with baskets filled with humorous gifts, the
performers delighted the audience by handing them out with kind wishes.
"I
believe that the most important aspect of traditional folk festivities is their
atmosphere and message; the main goal is to congratulate and bring joy to
people. During these celebrations, people wish each other happiness,
prosperity, and growth in their families. And believe me, joy in your families
will also multiply, especially since last year was the Year of the
Family," Alexander Trofimov is convinced.
The unique
concert brought together various genres on one stage: the audience enjoyed New
Year music by Tchaikovsky, best samples or Russian folk music, and global opera
hits, all interwoven with beatboxing.
"I
deeply love classical music in its purest form, and in my ideal world, everyone
would listen to it and admire it. But that's not always the case, and with a
touch of beatboxing, young people perceive classical music much more easily and
come even closer to the beauty. It's a great honor for me to contribute to such
changes," stated Vakhtang.
