Vladimir Putin on the National Centre RUSSIA: "It is both pleasant and useful to see an inspiring example of our people’s achievements"
On March
26, Vladimir Putin visited the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow. The President
toured the "Journey Across Russia" exposition presented at the
National Centre, which is dedicated to achievements, innovative developments,
cultural, natural, and historical landmarks from all federal districts. Then
the head of state explored "The Birth of Scale" exposition, which
highlights country's architectural masterpieces and renowned architects.
The
President was accompanied by the Director General of the National Centre
RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova, and the centre's lead tour guide, Mikhail Sharayev,
while schoolchildren from various regions provided explanations. The tour of
"The Birth of Scale" exposition for the President was conducted by
Natalia Shashkova, Director of the A.V. Shchusev State Research Museum of
Architecture.
Following
this, Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Movement of
the First and shared his impressions of the National Centre RUSSIA and its
expositions with the participants.
"Our
meeting, like the large annual congress of the Movement of the First, is taking
place at the National Centre RUSSIA. I walked around here with my colleagues,
took a look, and I hope that everyone present, as well as the congress
participants, had the opportunity to explore these expositions. It is both
pleasant and very useful to see an inspiring example of our people's
achievements — not only in recent decades but throughout our thousand-year
history," Vladimir Putin emphasized.
The head of the state noted that Russia has much to be proud of in various fields and across all regions of the country. These achievements, he clarified, reflect the unique character of Russia's multinational people and its millennia-old history, clarified Vladimir Putin.
"We
truly have much to be proud of in various fields and in every region of the
country without exception. These achievements reflect the unique character of
our multinational people and its thousand-year history. And today’s
schoolchildren, young people, I am sure, also dream of accomplishing something
significant — something meaningful both for themselves and for each of you (I
am now addressing the young participants of our meeting), and ultimately for
our Motherland as a whole," Vladimir Putin said.
The
expositions "The Birth of Scale" and "Journey Across
Russia" are open to all visitors free of charge. The current schedule of
guided tours is available on the website russia.ru.
