Vladimir Putin addresses participants of the III All-Russian Wedding Festival
The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, congratulated couples getting married at the III All-Russian Wedding Festival at the National Centre RUSSIA on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. The celebration takes place on 8–9 July. The main event of the first day will be a large-scale simultaneous marriage registration ceremony for around 200 couples from across the country and neighbouring countries. On the second day, the newlyweds and their guests can look forward to a vibrant cultural and educational programme, which is open to everyone.
Vladimir Putin emphasised that interesting and meaningful events dedicated to the holiday are being held across the country on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, and that the festival holds a special place among them.
"Dear friends, I sincerely congratulate you on a major and significant event — the birth of a new family. I wish you happiness and well-being. Take care of each other. May your dreams come true. For each of us, family is a reliable source of support and the main value in life. It is largely at home, within the family circle, that a person's character and worldview are shaped, cultural traditions are established, along with such unshakable moral principles as caring for loved ones, love for the Motherland and a sense of involvement in its destiny. May you live in love and harmony!" Vladimir Putin said, addressing the couples.
The National Centre RUSSIA is organising the III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts" jointly with the Moscow Government and the Moscow Civil Registry Office. The I All-Russian Wedding Festival was held in 2024 as part of the International RUSSIA EXPO. The event has become annual and will be held on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.
On this day, ceremonial and festive events are held across the country, bringing together families of different generations.
On 8 July, Russia celebrates the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, a holiday timed to coincide with the feast day of the Russian Orthodox saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom.
Train managers from the Federal Passenger Company welcomed the festival participants on their journey toward married life and presented them with exclusive gifts.
