President
of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin addressed the participants of the
Russian Women's Forum at the International RUSSIA EXPO.
"Your
forum has brought together here, at the RUSSIA EXPO, successful, active,
talented, bright women from all regions of our large country. Let me say right
away that women make a huge contribution to the achievement of national
development goals. Without you it is impossible to imagine such important
spheres as healthcare, education, science, culture, entrepreneurship, state and
municipal administration," said Vladimir Putin.
The Russian Women's Forum "Women: Preserving Traditions - Developing Russia" is being held at the International RUSSIA EXPO on March 5-6. It was organized by the Federation Council and the State Foundation "Defenders of the Fatherland". Women from all regions of Russia take part in the forum. Its goal is to demonstrate women's participation in achieving national goals and regional development.
In addition, all 89 regions will present thematic programs dedicated to women. The forum will include strategic and thematic sessions and round tables, discussions, presentations, expositions, masterclasses, and shows of collections by Russian female designers.
The first group believes in the boundless potential of progress, while the second fears that technological development poses a new challenge to humanity.
During the event, the researchers shared personal stories — not only of their achievements but also of what usually remains behind the scenes.
