Vladimir Putin toured the expositions of the first branch of the National Centre RUSSIA
On 4 September, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir
Putin visited the Primorye branch of the National Centre RUSSIA. The head of
state toured the expositions dedicated to the history of the Far Eastern
region, its achievements and promising development plans.
The Primorye branch of the National Centre RUSSIA is
designed in a marine style and divided into thematic zones: career in Primorye,
science and education, sport and culture, tourism, comfortable environment, and
innovation. The new venue on Vladivostok’s Sportivnaya Embankment was presented
to the head of state by Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National
Centre RUSSIA.
"Our first branch is about the history, successes and
bright future of Primorye. Together with the Primorye region team, we have
managed not just to create a modern building. A cosy urban space is being
developed around the branch, which we hope will become a point of attraction
for the residents and guests of Vladivostok. This is a place where one can
dream, create, feel pride in one’s country and homeland, and, of course, shape
the future of Russia — rich, beautiful, and strong," said Natalia
Virtuozova.
The first exposition that President Vladimir Putin toured
was "The Path of the 155th Separate Marine Brigade in the Special Military
Operation". The location was presented by Leon Volodin, Guards Senior
Sailor of the 155th Marine Brigade. He stressed that the heroism displayed by
the fighters of the 155th Brigade and many other units during the Special
Military Operation should not be forgotten. Their experience will become a
foundation for the younger generations of Russians, helping them to find the
right guidelines and choose the right path in life.
The head of state was shown a film dedicated to the heroism
of the 155th Brigade in the Special Military Operation and was also presented
with unit memorabilia.
Vladimir Putin was shown a model of one of Vladivostok’s
main symbols — the Lighthouse, the location "Facets of Primorye",
where key images of the Primorye region are collected in photographs, short
descriptions and compositions, as well as the interactive Map of
Primorye. It marks settlements and includes three-dimensional figures of
the region’s key sites: the Russky Bridge, a lighthouse, a port with cranes,
and sailing ships in the waters.
"Primorye became the first region where, at the
instruction of the President, the National Centre RUSSIA was created. In a
landmark building for Vladivostok, on the city’s main embankment — the
Sportivnaya Harbour — modern technological expositions are presented, which
reflect the spirit and character of the region, telling about its past,
present, and future. During the reconstruction of the building, we preserved
part of the aquariums and their inhabitants. But the main value of the
exposition is that in the year of the Great Victory, the central place was
devoted to the Special Military Operation and its heroes," said Oleg
Kozhemyako, Governor of the Primorye region.
The Russian leader was also shown the exposition "Sea
Journey" and "Bathyscaphe. Underwater World". Here, on an
interactive simulator, visitors can navigate a virtual boat and explore resort
locations. In the Bathyscaphe zone, video stories about the underwater flora
and fauna of the Sea of Japan are presented, along with scientific projects for
its study. In the zones "Protected Areas of Primorye" and
"Unique Fauna", the President was told about the region’s reserves
and animals in their natural habitat.
In addition, the Russian leader was shown the exposition
"The Udege Trail", which tells about the indigenous peoples of
Primorye. The tourism potential of the region was presented to the head of
state near the exposition "Mountain Resorts".
Vladimir Putin was presented with the exposition
"Unique Russian Language", created at his instruction. The initiative
came from Liliana Voronova, Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign
Language and Head of the Regional Russian Language Testing Centre, who personally
spoke about the content, goals and opportunities of the location.
Innovation and technology of the Primorye region are
featured in a dedicated stand of the Primorye branch of the National Centre
RUSSIA, showcasing the developments of local research companies.
The National Centre RUSSIA was created by order of President
of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to showcase the achievements of our
country, strengthen national identity, foster a sense of pride in the nation,
develop professional skills among children and youth, and preserve the legacy
of the International RUSSIA EXPO.
The event was held during the Republic of Dagestan Days and became part of the region’s cultural programme.
