Vladimir Putin took part in the 35th Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs
On 26 March, the 35th Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was held at the National Centre RUSSIA. The event was attended by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
In his address, the President touched on key issues of interaction between the state and business, as well as the need to strengthen the investment climate and reduce administrative barriers. The head of state emphasised the importance of supporting economic growth in the context of sanctions and global instability. Particular attention was paid to technological development, including artificial intelligence and digital platforms, as well as to the development of international cooperation, primarily within BRICS. Vladimir Putin also spoke about the importance of increasing access to financing, modernising the economy, and strengthening sovereignty. In addition, he highlighted the role of corporate social responsibility, support for regions, environmental initiatives, and the preservation of cultural legacy.
"Russia is a country with an exceptionally rich history. At all times, the key to confident progress has been the unity of our society and our joint, diligent work to make the country stronger, more resilient, and more robust in terms of its economic potential. We need not only large-scale projects that are significant for entire industries to be launched in the Russian economy, but also smaller yet important initiatives. It is essential that business owners, companies, and their workforces see long-term prospects for their activities, remain open to technological innovations and promote their implementation, and are able to compete both in the domestic market and internationally," Vladimir Putin added.
The President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Shokhin, was re-elected as head of the organisation for a new four-year term. The decision was made at the Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. In his speech, he noted that it is necessary to maintain normal operating conditions in Russia for companies from unfriendly countries that remain, so that they can even expand their presence.
"We believe that it is necessary to preserve, to the greatest extent possible, normal conditions for the activities of friendly companies from unfriendly countries. We introduced this concept a couple of years ago at the Congress. As I understand it, you supported it, noting that it is the elites that are unfriendly, while companies can continue to operate and may even expand their presence," said Alexander Shokhin, addressing President Vladimir Putin.
The 35th Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation — Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Grigorenko; Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Golikova; First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov; Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak; Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Anton Siluanov; Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Reshetnikov; Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kravtsov; Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, Anton Kotyakov; Head of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, Daniil Yegorov; and many others.
"Constructive working relations between the parliament and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs indeed exist across a wide range of issues, primarily in improving legislation. This applies to various areas, including tax regulation, public-private partnerships, the contract system, and the improvement of supervisory and regulatory activities, among many others. Today, the agenda includes the targeted fine-tuning of legislation in order to further formalise the economy, improve instruments of financial support for investment projects, and address such key issues as reforming bankruptcy legislation," said Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, Nikolai Zhuravlev.
