Volunteer Valery Larionov has been working at the RUSSIA EXPO since the first day and seems to know better than anyone how to find the right pavilion. He instantly guides guests and always recommends interesting expositions.

This year Valery will celebrate his 75th anniversary. Despite his venerable age, the man spends almost every day at the exposition helping guests. And he willingly takes two shifts. Within a month it turns out to be more than 200 hours. These are impressive figures, which by the end of the exposition may well become a volunteer record.

By the way, Valery was one of those who stood at the origins of the volunteer movement in our country back in the 90s. Volunteering is a way of life for him. He always welcomes visitors with a smile, he has a kind word for everyone. It is simply impossible for anyone to leave the pavilion where Valery works disappointed.

"I have been working at the exposition since the very beginning and I see how much people like it here. That's why I'm happy to be part of such an amazing event. I can't sit at home, I want to be here in the thick of things, meeting people from all corners of our country. It's an incredible experience", - Valery concluded.

In any weather - in the freezing cold of minus 30 degrees, in the bitter wind, in rain or snow - the volunteers of the RUSSIA EXPO are ready to help the guests. To give directions, to clarify the program, to find a forgotten thing. And they do it for free. Young volunteers are not lagging behind. One of them is Anastasia Ivanova. The girl is 20 years old, she is a second-year student at Moscow City Pedagogical University.

"Recently, almost all the guests were looking for Cheburashka, we were confused at first, and then it turned out that at the stand of the Stavropol region they were giving away toys. And many people also ask where the teleport is. All the volunteers already know what it's about and send guests to the stand of the Kamchatka region, which is called "Teleport Kamchatka", - shared Nastya.

The girl said that she has been volunteering since high school. She together with her peers helped veterans, held environmental campaigns. According to Anastasia, she can't imagine her life without volunteering. For her it is not just a way to be in the crowd and in the thick of things, but a real way of life.

More than 800 volunteers help guests at the RUSSIA EXPO every day. Eight thousand volunteers will take part in the exposition's work during its entire duration.
