Time of heroes: the results of youth policy were presented at the RUSSIA EXPO

Social elevators for youth, young people's achievements in science, sports, art, volunteering, and opportunities for self-development - the results of the country's youth policy were presented at the RUSSIA EXPO.

The "Youth Russia" presentation was opened by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova. Deputy Prime Minister noted the deep involvement of young people in difficult periods, the development of the volunteer movement, as well as the importance of legal changes in the sphere. 

"In the difficult year 2020 - the year of the pandemic - you did not become indifferent. You came to families despite all the difficulties. You helped those who could not go outside, who had health limitations. Friends, thank you for doing this! But 2020 was marked by another important event. The Law on Youth Policy in Russia was adopted. And thanks to this law, among other things, we can now count ourselves. There are more of us, and we know how it is regulated. Although it is impossible to regulate such an active movement as youth. <...> With your direct support, the Strategy for the Development of Youth Policy until 2030 will also be adopted on the instructions of the head of state, based on what we have accumulated over the past 10 years. And, finally, another important event is the World Youth Festival, which will be held in Sochi in March. I could list a huge number of events in which you are all direct participants. You are all writing history. And the country is writing history together with you," Tatyana Golikova said.

Head of Rosmolodezh Ksenia Razuvaeva spoke about patriotic education of youth, infrastructure for young people and mentoring, as well as opportunities for self-realization for young people.

"Now is the time of real heroes, because education is possible only on personal examples. And today we have repeatedly mentioned the "Your Hero" project, which brings together demobilized fighters of the SMO, including demobilized students from new regions. All those who, having undergone a special military operation, have come to the point where they want to invest in the younger generation. Today there are already more than 500 such lads, they act as mentors, they are employed in our patriotic education centers in the regions, they become part of the youth policy. And, indeed, today we have a very large infrastructure across the country: more than 36 centers of patriotic education. This is more than 50,000 teachers, educators, people who set a personal example for young people," Ksenia Razuvaeva emphasized.

Five young people representing different areas of Rosmolodezh's activities shared their amazing success stories from the stage. Among them were:

- Aigul Shadrina, winner of the "Rosmolodezh.Grants" contest, head of the All-Russian vocational guidance project "Image of the Future", supervisor of vocational guidance projects of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation;

- Nikita Kudinov, veteran of a special military operation, chief specialist in working with participants of the Movement of the First RCYM, mentor;

- Mikhail Bashkirev, winner of the "Big Change 2020" contest and the All-Russian student project "Your Move";

- Vsevolod Alymov, an activist of the Movement of the First, a project leader at the Internet Development Institute (IDI), and an instructor at the Polygon children's military-patriotic camp;

- Ekaterina Shlyapnikova, a member of the "Guides of Meanings" community of the "More than a Trip" program, a tour guide of the RUSSIA EXPO and WYF-2024.
