The first week of the exposition "Region 2030. Platform of the Future" at the National Centre RUSSIA will be dedicated to Dagestan. From 2 to 7 September, guests will immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the region: try national delicacies, attend workshops, hear traditional music and purchase local products at the Department Store.

On 2 September, the Days of the Republic of Dagestan at the exposition "Region 2030. Platform of the Future" will open with a rich cultural programme. Among the creative performances will be the dance "Little Dzhigits" by the Vatan ensemble and a medley of Dagestani melodies performed by the Abbasov brothers. Uma Kurbanova and Magomed Abdulmuslimov from the Echo of the Mountains ensemble will present an Avar storyline paired dance, while Rashid Khaydarbekov and Umukursyun Beybolatova will perform the traditional lezginka dance. In addition, winners of the "Tourist Dagestan" quiz on the landmarks and cultural features of the Republic will receive commemorative gifts.

On the same day, as well as on 5 September, visitors to the stand will enjoy a presentation of the folk crafts of the Republic of Dagestan. Hereditary masters of the region will hold open lessons on carpet weaving and silverwork. Participants of the workshops will not only see but also take part in creating a traditional pileless carpet and a silver goblet using the metalworking techniques born in the Dagestani village of Kubachi.

On 3 September, the programme of the day will feature a talk show on creative industries with the participation of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Dagestan. Participants will discuss tourism development, strategies for the development of creative industries, codes of culture and profit as the foundations of the new economy, and positioning Dagestan in big cinema.

A meeting with the Head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergei Melikov will take place on 4 September. It will address issues of Dagestan’s development until 2030 for the benefit of the people, including the creation of new jobs, plans for gasification and water supply of remote settlements, the renewal of public transport, environmental issues and the cleaning of the Caspian Sea — everything that concerns every resident of the region.

The programme of the republic’s presentation will also include an autograph session with famous athletes. Visitors to the stand will meet Russian, world and European boxing champion Sharaputdin Atayev, Russian, world and European boxing champion Djambulat Bizhamov, Russian, world and European freestyle wrestling champion Khadzhimurat Magomedov, Russian, world and European boxing champion Muslim Gadzhimagomedov and world and European para-taekwondo champion Aliaskhab Ramazanov.

On this day, the concert "My Dagestan – My Russia" will be held, starting at 19:00. The audience will enjoy immersion in the multifaceted culture and legacy of one of the most colourful regions of our country. The evening’s programme will feature performances by leading artists of the region and, of course, the lezginka. The evening will also include a fashion show of ethnic and wedding costumes by the Dagestani brand Arshaevy. The programme will be hosted by People’s Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Adil Utsumuev.

On 5 September, a workshop will be held in the Gastronomic Rows. Guests will be shown and taught how to cook four dishes of traditional Dagestani cuisine: urbech, apricot porridge, corn khinkal (khalpama) and thin chudu with cottage cheese and cheese. The workshop will be conducted by experienced chefs Surkhai Sharipov and Madina Hasanova.

On 7 September, the results of the week dedicated to the region will be summed up, as well as the results of the photo contest announced by the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan. The online photo contest "Hospitable Dagestan" for tourists who visited the region will take place throughout the week — from 1 to 7 September. From 1 to 4 September, applications will be accepted through a special form on the Ministry’s website. The jury will select the 10 best works, which will be submitted for open voting, and from 5 to 6 September, online voting will be held in the official Telegram channel of the Ministry. The grand prize of the contest will be a trip along the National Tourist Route "Legends of Dagestan".

The exposition "Region 2030. Platform of the Future" will be located on the second floor of Pavilion No. 7 and will be open daily, except Monday, from 10:00 to 20:00.
