World Piano Day: a musical display piece at "Journey Across Russia" exposition
World Piano Day is celebrated on March 29. On this day, composers, performers, listeners, and all who appreciate this instrument receive congratulations. At the interactive exposition "Journey Across Russia" in the National Centre RUSSIA, one of the standout display pieces is a classic black piano. It complements the section dedicated to Karelia in the Northwest Federal District area.
"In the Ruskeala Mountain Park, the International Music Festival Ruskeala Symphony has been held annually since 2017. Its unique feature is that musicians perform directly on a platform set on the water, under the open sky, in the Italian Quarry and Marble Canyon. The water reflects the sound, and together with the cliffs, it creates stunning acoustics. Guests watch the performances from boats or the shore. I have attended this festival — it is a true cultural phenomenon for our country. The piano at the 'Journey Across Russia' exposition symbolizes this musical celebration in Karelia," said Igor Sorokin, a tour guide at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The program of the International Music Festival Ruskeala Symphony includes classical and jazz compositions, as well as contemporary pieces arranged in a classical style.
The "Journey Across Russia" exposition showcases major achievements, innovative developments, and cultural, natural, and historical landmarks from all federal districts of the country. Admission is free as part of guided tour groups, which are formed through prior registration on the website russia.ru in the "Events" section.
By order of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region, Mikhail Kotyukov, the recognizable appearance of the exposition and its key displays have been recreated.
The National Centre RUSSIA is presenting a new project — the podcast series "Tell Me About Victory."
