All-Russian Gathering of "Eaglets of Russia" program participants brought together over 500 delegates at the RUSSIA EXPO
On June 1, at the International RUSSIA EXPO in Pavilion No. 57 at the lecture hall of the Russian Society "Knowledge," the opening of the All-Russian Gathering of "Eaglets of Russia" program participants took place. This event united elementary school students, their teachers, and senior student mentors. The ceremony was attended by Sergei Novikov, Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects, Alexander Bugaev, First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Grigory Gurov, Chairman of the Russian Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First," and Alexander Kudryashov, Director of the FSBI "Russian Youth and Children's Center" (Rosdetcenter).
The All-Russian Gathering brought together more than 500 activists of the "Eaglets of Russia" program, who demonstrated outstanding results in the competitive selection for the educational thematic program "Community of Russia’s Eaglets”, as well as teachers and senior student mentors. The event was organized by the Russian Youth and Children's Center with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
"Dear children, I congratulate you on the holiday, on International Children's Day. As you enter this new phase of your life, you must truly believe that each of you can be a leader in your field, and that Russia is a land of opportunity. Congratulations to you and your parents, stay healthy, and all the best to you," said Sergei Novikov, Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects, addressing the attendees.
The delegates participated in intellectual games and workshops, and met with public figures. As part of the opening ceremony of the All-Russian Gathering "Eaglets of Russia," students were ceremonially inducted into the Movement of the First. Additionally, elementary students, senior student mentors and teachers attended the Childhood Festival at VDNH.
"I remember my childhood: we were inducted into the Octobrists, then the Pioneers, and these were events of great significance for me. I wish that the feeling you are experiencing now will always stay with you. Love our great country. Cherish and protect it, because only you can defend it and make it better," said Alexander Bugaev, First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.
The gathering aims to develop communication and teamwork skills through educational and recreational activities, improve the interaction between senior student mentors and teachers, and introduce students to the cultural traditions of Russia's peoples.
"The All-Russian Gathering 'Eaglets of Russia' offers a unique opportunity to broaden understanding of the program’s possibilities. During these days, participants will learn to work as a team, showcase their best personal qualities, and make new friends. Thanks to the gathering, teachers and senior student mentors will acquire new tools for creating an educational and entertaining environment, while young delegates will experience the power of dreams leading the Eaglets to new achievements. Over the three years of the program's implementation, 'Eaglets of Russia' has evolved into a true professional community encompassing more than 3.5 million children who not only have the opportunity to bring their ideas and projects to life but also successfully engage their classmates and friends in them," emphasized Alexander Kudryashov, Director of the Russian Youth and Children's Center.
The gathering program also includes introducing the "Eaglets" to the historical and cultural landmarks of the capital. The gathering will conclude on June 3.
