Celebrating 9 May with love: Wedding Festival participants submit marriage registration applications
Ahead of the 9 May holiday — Victory Day — Vasily
Shcherbakov and Larisa Denisenko from the Donetsk People’s Republic submitted a
marriage registration application to take part in the III All-Russian Wedding
Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts", which will be held on 8–9 July at
the National Centre RUSSIA.
Vasily Shcherbakov and Larisa Denisenko visited the Saur-Mogila memorial complex, a place that preserves the memory of the heroism and courage of the defenders of the Motherland. It was here that the couple made one of the most important decisions of their lives. The future spouses are actively involved in public work: the groom helps participants in the special military operation, while the bride is Director of the WE ARE NEAR Charitable Foundation for Children and Adults and has been taking part in the humanitarian mission in Donbass since 2022.
On the first day of the festival at the National Centre
RUSSIA, 8 July, the main event will be a simultaneous wedding ceremony for
couples in love from across the country. The celebration of love will also be
marked by the passing of the flame of the All-Russian Family Hearth "Heart
of Russia". The newlyweds will receive from couples who married at
previous festivals a particle of the flame from Murom, where Saints Peter and
Fevronia, the patrons of marriage, lived. On the second day of the festival,
couples, their guests and everyone interested in wedding themes will be able to
attend lectures, masterclasses, gastronomic shows and guided tours of the
National Centre RUSSIA expositions — "Journey Across Russia" and
"Geography Lessons".
Applications for the Wedding Festival are accepted on the
National Centre website until 22 May. An important requirement for the
newlyweds is to include elements of national costumes in their wedding looks.
The event will bring together couples in love from different peoples. In one
space, they will demonstrate the country’s cultural diversity and the unity of
feelings.
he Day of Indigenous Small-Numbered Peoples of Russia is being celebrated in our country for the first time on 30 April.
On July 10, the II All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts" finished its work at the National Centre RUSSIA.
