Choose a name for a bison and send a postcard from the Arctic: recreation for the whole family in Prirodograd
A unique
environmental event - Days of Protected Areas - is taking place at the
International RUSSIA EXPO. In Pavilion B Prirodograd employees of nature
reserves and national parks of the country tell about their exciting work and
introduce guests to the amazing world of wildlife.
Each day
until the end of January will be dedicated to one of Russia's protected areas.
For example, on January 16, Pacific Ocean Day, guests can expect concerts,
movies, themed masterclasses, quizzes and quests. You can get a whale toy and
touch a real whalebone, learn to create wooden toys of indigenous peoples of
the Far East.
Also, during the Days of Protected Areas there is a contest for the best name for a red-listed baby bison. In addition, the "Reserve Mail" is available so that everyone can send a postcard to their loved ones from the most remote corners of our vast country: from Franz Josef Land, from the Russian Arctic national park or the Valley of Geysers in Kamchatka.
Let us remind you that the Days of Protected Areas will last until January 28, 2024. The program also includes the Days of the Amur tiger and snow leopard, wetlands, protected ornithology and many other interesting things.
