"Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre: first impressions from visitors
The new interactive exposition "Journey Across Russia" has opened at the National Centre RUSSIA, bringing together the country's key achievements, innovative developments, and cultural, natural, and historical landmarks from all federal districts in one place. The first visitors shared their impressions of the exposition.
"This is an incredible journey! I felt like I had visited different regions of our country without leaving Moscow. I was especially impressed by the section dedicated to Kamchatka and other natural landmarks, as well as the encounter with the Mistress of the Copper Mountain. I also really enjoyed the interactive elements. Overall, this is a must-see for anyone who loves Russia and wants to get a closer look at its beauty and richness," said Yelena from Moscow.
After exploring the natural, cultural, and historical diversity of the country — from the Far East to Kaliningrad — every visitor will find something close to their heart, the first guests of the exposition believe.
"I was particularly inspired by the stories about small towns and their cultural heritage, as well as the sections of the exhibition showcasing a Siberian izba hut and the Golden Ring of Russia. I've already started planning trips for my next vacation. Thanks to the organizers for such a large-scale project," said Irina from the Moscow region.
The extensive exposition, which allows visitors to travel across the entire country in a single tour, is designed for guests of all ages.
"Today, I came here just to scout the place, and now I know for sure that I’ll return with my children. We’ll be recommending this to everyone," promised Dmitry, a visitor from Kolomna.
Visitors note that the exposition does more than just present information — it engages in a dialogue with them. Virtual mini-tours, 3D models, interactive screens, sounds, scents, textures, and sensations bring the exposition to life.
"I'm amazed by the interactive elements. For example, the scented candles smell so vividly that you feel like you're standing in the middle of a blooming meadow," shared Ksenia from Moscow.
"I loved everything, especially the fact that you can touch things!" added young guest Stesha from Moscow.
The "Journey Across Russia" exposition brings together the history, traditions, and modern achievements of all federal districts of Russia. Unique displays and multimedia installations showcase the country’s natural, cultural, and historical diversity while highlighting its key scientific and technological advancements.
The first section of the project features Gastronomic Rows, where visitors can sample both traditional and innovative dishes from across the country. A rich cultural and educational program awaits guests, including themed festivals, workshops, and more. A dedicated children’s area is available for young visitors.
The exposition space concludes with the digital Heart Zone, where each visitor can leave their impressions on a digital postcard, becoming part of the history of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Entry to the "Journey Across Russia" exposition is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis or as part of guided tours, which can be booked in advance on russia.ru or at the main information desk of the National Centre RUSSIA. The exposition is open daily except Mondays, from 10:00 to 20:00.
