On February 27, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the solemn ceremony of presenting the Znanie.Award, an educational accolade. Prominent state and public figures announced the names of 31 laureates across 21 categories. First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko addressed the guests of the evening.

"In society, in Russia, the authority of those who bring knowledge, those who bring truth, those who help millions of people in Russia better understand their calling and find their destiny, is being revived," said Sergei Kiriyenko.

In the category "Educational Project of the Year," Sergei Kiriyenko announced the International RUSSIA EXPO as the winner. The award was received by the General Director of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova.

"The RUSSIA EXPO did not emerge by chance. The entire country contributed to its creation because we all share a simple need — to take pride in our country, to take pride in every one of us who builds and loves this nation. And it is a great honor for us that today, the world's best educational award is being held at the National Centre RUSSIA, established by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. This is a platform where we will all work together to shape the future — the future of our beloved Motherland and the future of the world," said Natalia Virtuozova.

The International RUSSIA EXPO, established by the decree of the President of Russia, also won in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of 'Volunteering and Patriotism'."

"I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Russian society Znanie for choosing the National Centre RUSSIA as the venue for such a significant award. As for our victory, I believe we were simply fortunate to become the stage for a vast number of projects that tell the story of our country and its remarkable people. And we continue what we started at the RUSSIA EXPO within the walls of our new home — the National Centre," emphasized Natalia Virtuozova.

She also spoke about the educational projects that the National Centre RUSSIA will undertake in the near future and shared plans for joint work with the Russian society Znanie.

"In two years, the Russian society Znanie will celebrate its anniversary. And we sincerely hope that we will celebrate this anniversary here — at the National Centre RUSSIA. Furthermore, we will continue to collaborate with all major public organizations, corporations, and ministries. We also have many projects initiated by small communities of people who deeply love their country. And, of course, we are always open to new projects, open to every person in our country. This is one of the key missions of the National Centre RUSSIA," concluded Natalia Virtuozova.

The Znanie.Award educational prize was established in 2021 to recognize the achievements of Russian figures in the field of education. The award is granted to nominees who receive the highest scores after an in-person defense of their educational activities or projects before the jury.

In 2025, the award includes categories such as "For Overall Contribution to Education," "For Contribution to the Preservation of Family Values," "Foreign Educator of the Year," "Advisor-Educator," and others. In total, 19,523 applications were submitted for the award in 2024 from 89 regions of Russia and 56 countries.
