The presentation by Naila Mehrabova was recognized as the most outstanding in the "Investments in Technology" session during the panel pitching of the Open Dialogue at the National Centre RUSSIA
At the
National Centre RUSSIA, a panel pitching session titled "Investments in
Technology" was held within the framework of the Open Dialogue "The
Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth". As a result of the
event, the presentation by Naila Mehrabova, a member of the Supervisory Board
of Azersun Holding (Azerbaijan), was acknowledged.
In her work
and presentation, she proposed creating a digital blockchain platform for
export, logistics, and insurance, emphasizing the need for transparent and accessible
solutions for developing markets. According to her, technologies such as AI,
blockchain, and autonomous intelligent agents can significantly simplify
international trade and reduce costs.
"Today,
we live in a fragmented world with massive hidden costs. Developing economies
hold 60% of the world's resources but receive only 15% of the financing.
Imagine creating a unified digital space where a farmer, a bank, and an
exporter operate under a single standard, without paperwork. This could save up
to 7 billion dollars a year. These funds could be redirected to development —
from restoring factories to social programs," noted Naila Mehrabova.
The Open
Dialogue brought together participants from 102 countries. The discussions were
followed not only in person but also by hundreds of thousands of viewers
online. On April 29, the panel pitching session featured the authors of the six
best essays on the topic of investments in technology — from Russia, India,
Azerbaijan, and Tanzania.
The expert
panel for the "Investments in Technology" session included: Hugo
Mathecowitsch (Brazil), founder of Tools for the Commons; Felipe Montes
(Colombia), co-founder and CEO of Kravata; Saad Saeed (Belgium), professor at
the ICHEC Brussels Management School; Caroline Poli, founder of Mippo and
member of the Brazilian CBDC working group; and Rachid Yazami (Singapore),
president of KVI Holdings and member of the International Committee for the
Global Energy Prize.
One of the
essayists presenting was Russian environmentalist Vladimir Chuprov. He proposed
a solution to one of the most pressing climate challenges — extreme urban heat.
The expert presented rooftop and façade solar power technology as an accessible
alternative to traditional energy sources.
"We
can make the sun — the source of heat — work for cooling. Photovoltaic panels
cool buildings while supplying them with energy. But for the technology to
succeed, we need a political signal — a signal to act," said Vladimir
Chuprov.
Among the
essayists who presented their works were Debjit Chakraborty (Chamber of
Indo-Russian Technological Cooperation, India), who emphasized the importance
of investing in joint projects in the fields of artificial intelligence and
fintech, and proposed the idea of establishing a BRICS+ Innovation Bank; and
Gaurav Mahajan (partner at Precept Law Offices, India), who spoke about the
contribution of global centers of competence to India's economy through
attracting investment, creating jobs, and developing regions.
Yevgeny
Osadchuk (PhD in Economics, Deputy Director for Digital Technologies at the ANO
"Digital Economy", Russia) also took the floor, proposing the
creation of a data and idea exchange platform coordinated by Russia to
strengthen the leadership of the Global South and East in the field of AI.
Michael Bernard Mwidete (student at the National Institute of Transport,
Tanzania) presented his view on the potential of agricultural drones as a key
technological solution to support the rapidly growing population.
The lecture "Come and See: The Feat of Newsreel Cameramen during the Great Patriotic War" took place as part of the "Thursday. Development".
