On May 17, the RUSSIA EXPO will continue the
All-Russian Wedding Festival, as well as cultural, educational and sports
program events.
The sixth day of the wedding festival at VDNH will
unite the hearts of marrying couples from many regions and will be one of the
most rich in traditions. All 12 couples in national wedding costumes will
gather for a theatricalized wedding procession, which will be held in the theme
of the bride price. The column will follow the picturesque route of VDNH - from
the Arch of the Main Entrance, where the performance of creative groups with
songs and dances will be organized, to the Main Street Stage.
Bride price is a rite in which the matchmaker,
friends, the groom himself or guests usually make a real or symbolic payment
(money, food, cloth, etc.) for the bride to leave the house. The tradition will
be rearranged in a modern way, taking into account the elements of Old Russian
culture.
Afterwards, a solemn marriage registration will take
place on the Main Street Stage. Couples will take home a piece of the fire of
the All-Russian Family Hearth, which was lit at the RUSSIA EXPO in honor of the
announcement of the Year of the Family.

The Republic of Dagestan will be represented by the "Levashi" ensemble, which will perform
lively Highland and Dido dances. The Republic of Ingushetia will present to the
guests a traditional dance "Meeting at the Water Spring", and a
folklore ensemble from the Astrakhan region will perform wedding songs.
The Krasnodar region will be represented by the "Charovnitsa"
group. The Stavropol region will perform the Cossack heritage song "Kuzya
Rode from the Fair". Several folk songs will be performed by the ensemble
of Cossack songs from the Volgograd region "Azure Flower".
The Hero City of Sevastopol will be represented by
Veronika Syromlya, who will perform the composition "Maiden Beauty".
People's dance ensemble "Sudarushka" together with newlyweds will
spin in "Sevastopol Waltz".
A duet - Tatiana Yovsa-Manuilova and Anastasia
Bezlyudnaya - will perform from the Lugansk People's Republic. The Republic of
Kalmykia and artists of the festival movement "Roundelays of Russia"
will also take part in the concert program of the wedding festival.

Masterclass with presentation of the discipline "Indoor Rowing"
It's no secret that some sports can only be practiced
in a certain season. For example, ski races are held only in winter, and rowing
competitions are organized, of course, in summer. But how to train in the rest
of the year?
The rowers found the answer back in the 50s of the
last century: ergometers simulating oar strokes were created especially for
their needs. These simulators have become indispensable in the training of
professionals, and since 2015 they have become a separate discipline.
The "Sport for Everyone" pavilion invites to
a masterclass of the Russian University of Sport "GTSOLIFK" dedicated
to indoor rowing, officially approved by the Ministry of Sport of the Russian
Federation. CrossFit fans and those looking for an effective way to burn
calories will be taught by instructors and students how to use the ergometers
installed in every gym.

RGAIS (Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property,
RSAIP) is the only higher education institution in Russia that trains
specialists in the field of creation, management, legal protection and
commercial use of intellectual property objects.

The creative meeting will discuss how the theater
lives on the threshold of the centennial anniversary, at what age you can start
to build a career as an actor, how relationships are built in the theater and
where the line between friendship and work behind the scenes lies. This meeting
will be interesting to both experienced theatergoers and young guests of the
Moscow space.

Performance by the Nikolo-Solbinsky Monastery Choirand a masterclass in painting
The Nikolo-Solbinsky Convent (The Saint Nicholas
Monastery on the Solba River) is located in the Yaroslavl region. At the
monastery there is an orphanage, a comprehensive school and a vocational
college "Good School on the Solba", a kindergarten and a nursery.
The pupils of
the school and college receive spiritual and secular education, are trained in
singing and music, painting and icon painting, embroidery and sewing, various
kinds of needlework, theater art, cooking. They will perform spiritual chants.
In the same monastery they make Solba ceramics: with
the hard work and prayers of Mother Abbess and the sisters of the convent, the
workshop of the monastery manually makes dishes with the painting of incredible
beauty.
The masterclass will help to get acquainted with the
unique craft of the monastery. Spiritual chants performed by the choir of the
Solba Monastery will accompany the making of the products.

Denis Kazansky is one of the most recognizable and
sought-after sports commentators. His reviews are watched by millions of

radio speakers. At the lecture, visitors will learn how a resident of a small
town conquered not only the capital, but also the hearts of sports fans.

Dmitry Khananovich will talk about his directing

At the traditional Russian leisure event - evening
gathering or vecherka - together with the guys from the "Evening Moscow"
partnership, visitors will remember the traditions of youth dances, music and
games.
Traditional vecherka is a great way to meet new people
and overcome the isolation developed by many young people in the conditions of
the big city, as dancing involves frequent changes of couples.

The Farmers Fair in Pavilion No. 48 invites you to be
amazed by the variety and richness of tastes. Cheeses, sausages, delicacies,
Siberian berry jam, chocolate-covered cones, black and red caviar from all
regions of the country are presented here. You can comfortably get to our Fair
by route No. K, which departs from Pavilion No. 75, as well as from the stop
"Northern Loop", located at the arch of the Main Entrance of VDNH.
