On November 11, the Ministry of Digital Development (Mintsifry) held a masterclass for IT specialists at its stand. They were told about the importance of participating in hackathons — competitions between teams of developers, designers and managers. They provide an opportunity to get monetary awards and relevant experience that will be useful in professional activity.

The participants were told in detail what a hackathon is and why IT specialists should take part in it. The lecture was prepared by the ambassador of the project "Digital Breakthrough. Season: Artificial Intelligence" project ambassador Mikhail Garbuzenko. He explained how to choose a hackathon and define a task for participation.

There can be mistakes in hackathons — the expert also talked about the most common ones. He shared his experience in organizing such competitions as well.

This masterclass was one of many workshops held for visitors to the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH. There are expositions of 89 regions of the country, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations. The RUSSIA EXPO will last until April 12, 2024, admission is free.
