About 200 employees of children’s centres, student volunteers and their mentors received commemorative awards for their work at the RUSSIA EXPO
Volunteers of the special volunteer project of the State
University of Education were awarded in a solemn atmosphere at the
International RUSSIA EXPO. Memorable diplomas and letters of appreciation from
the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, as well as letters of
gratitude from the rector of the University were given to more than a hundred
of the best representatives of the volunteer staff, who made a significant
contribution to the organization and holding of the Exposition, working on the site
of the Ministry of Education for several months.
The project of volunteer support of the RUSSIA EXPO became a
flagship project in the volunteer activity of the Federal State Autonomous
Educational Institution of Higher Education "State University of
Education". During 244 days of their stay at the Exposition, the students
worked more than 2400 hours accompanying the work of the site of the Ministry
of Education in Pavilion No. 57.
Students of the University regularly provided support and
assistance in holding events at the site, worked with children, cooperated with
the All-Russian Children's Centres "Orlyonok", "Ocean",
"Smena" and "Alye Parusa" ("Scarlet Sails"), as
well as the legendary International Children's Centre "Artek",
skillfully solved organizational issues and even took part in the meeting of
the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov with the
heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries.
Along with the best student volunteers, the Ministry of
Education of the Russian Federation awarded the employees of the Department of
Educational and Social Work, as well as employees of the zones of the federal
children's centres "Orlyonok", "Ocean", "Smena",
"Alye Parusa" and "Artek" with commendations from the
Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. In addition, the ceremony
included the awarding of employees of school museums. They received letters of
commendation for their personal contribution to patriotic education and
historical and educational enlightenment of the younger generation, as well as
for their active participation in the organization of the platform of school
military-patriotic museums within the framework of the Exposition and the work
of the platform of the Centre for Military-Patriotic Education
"Vershina", operating on the basis of the "State University of
Education".
Pavilion No. 57 presents the main achievements in the
Russian education and upbringing system and the key areas of implementation of
the national project "Education". There are separately organized
spaces "Quantorium", "Growth Point", "IT-cube",
"School Gym". Also, anyone can visit the zones of the federal
children's centres "Artek", "Orlyonok", "Smena", "Ocean",
"Alye Parusa" and take part in masterclasses in areas of interest -
from drawing to programming. More than 40 different subordinate organizations
of the Ministry of Education presented their experience and results of work in
the spheres of preschool, school, secondary vocational and supplementary
education, as well as social support and protection of students, children's
recreation and health improvement.
The International RUSSIA EXPO showcases the most important
achievements of the country in one place. Throughout the Exposition, cultural
events, a rich business and educational program await the guests. The
expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and
public organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 18 million people
have already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place
on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
The lecture "Russian Architecture in the Global Context" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on May 30.
On May 30, the declaration on the establishment of the International Association of Children's Organisations (IACO) was signed at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The workshop "Apartment Planning Through a Child’s Eyes" took place on May 30 as part of the educational programme of "The Birth of Scale" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA.
