Six million people visited the RUSSIA EXPO in three months of its operation
On February
4, the International RUSSIA EXPO welcomed its six millionth visitor three
months after its opening. It was Dmitry Ershov from Moscow. He came to the
Exposition together with his wife Irina and their children - 11-year-old Egor
and six-year-old Lisa. The family has been living in the capital for four years
- before that they lived in the Krasnoyarsk region and Khakassia. Dmitry
himself was born in the Zabaykalsky region. He works in finance.
The guests
received a gift from the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements
"Russia"» and the administration of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area
- a trip to Salekhard for the main holiday of the peoples of the North,
Reindeer Herder's Day. During the trip Dmitry Ershov and his family will go
through the ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle and receive personal
certificates of polar explorers.
"It is
very unexpected and unusual. We have never even imagined that we would become
unique visitors. We had plans to come to the Exposition several times. Thank
you very much for such a warm welcome - it is very nice that we will go to a
new region," said Dmitry Ershov.
"Being
at this Exposition itself is already pleasant - everything is very beautiful,
well thought out. Many thanks to the organizers. It is very interesting, I
liked everything very much," added his wife Irina.
The six
millionth visitor came to the Exposition on a special day - exactly three
months after its opening, noted Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the ANO
«Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"».
"Today
we have a unique day - on February 4, the RUSSIA EXPO is exactly three months
old, and we also have a joyful event - six million visitors! We are very
grateful to all our guests. Yamal is a very hospitable region," Natalia
Virtuozova emphasized.
A very rich
program awaits Dmitry Ershov's family - they will be able to watch the reindeer
sled races and the display of national clothing made of reindeer fur, taste
local dishes and look at the beauty of the Arctic, said Deputy Governor of the
Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area Tatiana Buchkova.
"Reindeer
Herder's Day was once considered a professional holiday that finalized the
winter for nomads, but now it is a real festival where you will see a
completely different Yamal," Tatiana Buchkova said.
