Selection of guides for work at the exposition is coming to an end
The competitive selection of guides and tour guides for the International RUSSIA EXPO is coming to an end. One of the criteria is the age from 22 years old, the region of residence doesn’t matter. According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow region, applications are accepted on the website of the Rosmolodezh program "More than a trip".
"Professional tour guides and guides-interpreters, employees of museums, including corporate museums, self-employed authors of excursion content (bloggers, local historians), employees of event agencies (animators, presenters), students of senior courses of secondary vocational and higher educational institutions are invited to participate in the competition", — the department informs.
The competition is waiting for students of such fields as "Tourism and hospitality industry", "Excursion (museum) business", "Foreign languages", "Geography and local history", "Actor of theater and cinema".
The selection was organized in two directions: "Moscow and Moscow region" and "Regions". Guides from Moscow and Moscow region will be employed for the whole time of the exposition. Regional participants will come for a few days, they will be paid for travel, accommodation and meals.
During the contest 2 thousand people will be selected. They will be given special training, then they will be tested and will defend their excursion projects. Then they will receive badges, state standard certificates "Excursion activities at major congress and exposition events" and the title of a guide of the largest International exposition-forum.
Specialists will have to conduct various excursions: for foreign delegations, children’s groups and so on. In April, based on the outcomes of the exposition, 15 best guides will be chosen in different nominations.
