A boost of vigor and energy: Guests of the RUSSIA EXPO took part in a phygital warm-up by the Games of the Future participants
A phygital
warm-up and presentation of the Games of the Future international sports
project took place at the RUSSIA EXPO as part of the educational program of the
Digitalization Day.
Athletes
who have already achieved success in this area participated in the phygital
warm-up. The session included fitness elements, demonstration of basic
exercises and techniques from basketball and general physical training.
"Phygital
is a very harmonious and dynamic format. On the one hand, it helps athletes
involved in classic sports to develop, and on the other hand, it helps
professional eSports athletes to look at what they do from a different
perspective. After all, it is impossible to hold your position for a long time
if you are engaged in eSports and at the same time do not maintain your
physical shape", — emphasized Oleg Golikov, Youth Project Specialist of
the Games of the Future.
Activists
of the Games of the Future are convinced that through innovative sports trends
that are developing in Russia, our country opens up to the world from a new
perspective.
"It is
not without good reason that more than a hundred countries have already
confirmed their participation in the Games of the Future project, and I think
that this direction will only develop", — Oleg Golikov specified.
Professional
basketball player Igor Sukhov-Maznin shared his personal story of coming to
phygital with the guests of the event.
"My, if I may say so, phygital career began even before the games. I started playing basketball at school, and at the university I was already offered to qualify for the phygital games. At that moment I couldn’t do it, as I was taking part in professional basketball competitions. But I liked the theme itself, I was very attracted by the combination of digital and physical", — said Igor Sukhov-Maznin.
Games of the Future will start in Kazan on February 21. The competition program will include drone racing, robot battle, phygital hockey, virtual cycling, cybathletics and other innovative sports disciplines based on a combination of physical activity, modern technology and digital environment. More than 260 teams and over 2,000 athletes from around the world will take part in the grand tournament.
The National Centre RUSSIA will host a series of presentations titled "Journey Across Russia's Gastronomic Festivals."
The National Centre RUSSIA today meets the needs of various professional communities for communication and exchange of experience.
During the tour of the expansive exposition, the Chairman of the Government highlighted the significance of the display.
