Foreign participants of the World Youth Festival in Sirius round up their acquaintance with the country at the International RUSSIA EXPO
The International RUSSIA EXPO is hosting the final
excursions for the participants of the World Youth Festival, which took place
at the Sirius Federal Territory in the Krasnodar region on March 1-7. The young
people have already visited the regions of Russia and are now wrapping up their
acquaintance with the country at the RUSSIA EXPO.
Deputy Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the
Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"» Anastasia Zvyagina participated
in the excursion - she showed the guests the stands of the regions in Pavilion
No. 75.
"You have already visited the grand event - the World
Youth Festival in Sirius, as well as the regions of our big country. I am sure
that you have already witnessed yourselves that Russia is very hospitable,
amiable and friendly. People of different nationalities and different faiths
have lived in peace and harmony in our country for centuries. This diversity of
their cultures, languages and customs does not divide, but, on the contrary,
unites Russia," said Anastasia Zvyagina.
Guests came from Pakistan, Peru, Ethiopia and other
countries. Together with Anastasia Zvyagina, they visited the Department Store
space, where they got acquainted with traditional Russian handicrafts, as well
as stands Stavropol, Sevastopol, Nizhny Novgorod,
Volgograd regions and other Russian territories. Thus, at the exposition of
Kalmykia foreign guests tried on national costumes, and the Republic of Adygea
showed how to dance the lezginka.
At the stand of the Stavropol region, Anastasia Zvyagina
drew the guests' attention to the installation - a stork with a newborn baby.
"This is a kind of symbol of new life, spring - the time when nature
awakens. In January, our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin announced the
start of the Year of the Family in Russia. In his speech he emphasized that
family values are what unites our society, and Russia is indeed a huge family,
we can say it is a family of families," Anastasia Zvyagina added.
She said that the Exposition guests already have a belief
that if you tickle a baby's heels, a child will be born soon. Guests from
abroad joined the new EXPO's tradition.
The WYF participants also explored the expositions of new
regions. In particular, they heard the history of the Donetsk rose, which is
located on the stand of the republic - made of steel, it symbolizes the beauty
and life of Donetsk despite the difficult conditions.
In addition, foreign guests visited other pavilions and
expositions of the RUSSIA EXPO: the companies Sber, VEB.RF, SIBUR, Yandex,
Russian Railways, Gazprom, VK and Rosatom, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry
of Education, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass
Media, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and other agencies.
"I like everything here, everything is beautiful. The
expositions show how different Russia is, but at the same time it is one
country: all its parts are united," said Oscar Mendoza from Bolivia.
"I really enjoyed the tour because I had the opportunity to learn more
about Russian regions. I was impressed by the Lugansk People's Republic and the
Krasnodar region most of all," added his compatriot Tatiana Kitaygora.
In total, the RUSSIA EXPO was visited by foreign
participants of the World Youth Festival from 147 countries. The first groups
arrived at VDNH on March 10 and 11. From March 1 to 7, they took part in the
World Youth Festival events held in the City of World Youth, specially created
on the Sirius Federal Territory in the Krasnodar region. After completion of
