On Sunday, January 5, a concluding performance of the unique ballet "The Nutcracker" with multimedia stage designs took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bugayev. He highly praised the new version of the production, which combines modern special effects and animation elements with classical Russian ballet and the great music of Tchaikovsky.

"Such a wonderful event — 'The Nutcracker,' a winter fairy tale that every child in the country dreams of, has become accessible to our children, our people, thanks to the National Centre RUSSIA, which this year organized a wonderful show. Thank you very much for such a wonderful initiative, for such a magnificent event," said Alexander Bugayev.

The production at the National Centre RUSSIA preserved all the best elements of the ballet "The Nutcracker": the magnificent music of Tchaikovsky and the traditions of Russian ballet, while offering a new perspective on stage design. Static sets have given way to multimedia elements, making the story come to life, adding dynamism to the plot, and providing captivating development to the action.

This version of the production combines modern special effects and animation with classical Russian ballet and Tchaikovsky’s great music.

The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations, and regions take part in the Centre’s work.
