Essential medicines and fiber optics: Mordovia at the RUSSIA EXPO
Production of essential medicines, "black diamond" and development of organic farming. The RUSSIA EXPO hosts the Day of the Republic of Mordovia.
Representatives of the region said that a great role for the development of the pharmacological industry in Russia is played by the work of the plant Biokhimik JSC of Promomed Group. Here they have created import-substituting production of more than 250 drugs, 80% of which are on the list of essential medicines.
On the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, organic farming is being developed in the region. Mordovia is among the five leading regions of the country in terms of the number of certified producers. And Saransk Children's Food Station is the only producer of organic dairy products for infants in the republic.
Optical Fiber Systems JSC, the only plant in the EAEU that produces optical fiber, operates in the region. Despite the sanctions, the company plans to expand production and switch to its own raw materials.
"Mordovia is the closest national republic to Moscow, the center of Finno-Ugric peoples of Russia. The republic is strong in the unity of people, we are proud of the original Mordovian culture - in music, in arts and crafts, and in our native languages Moksha and Erzya. I invite each of you, your relatives and friends to our marvelous republic", — said Governor Artem Zdunov.
Mordovia also presented the original traditions of the Moksha and Erzya peoples, and the exposition of the Republic showed the best samples of products of local craftsmen, including items made of Mordovian "black diamond". This is the name given to locally made bog oak.
