Connoisseurs of the Motherland: Russian family dynasties presented their regions at the RUSSIA EXPO
More than
1,000 people from all over the country became participants of the Dynasties of
Russia contest, which started at the All-Russian Family Forum Dear — Loved Ones
at the RUSSIA EXPO. For several days
families exchange experience, participate in masterclasses, share national
recipes. One of the most popular nominations of the program is
"Connoisseurs of the Motherland", where one can get acquainted with
all regions of the country on one platform.
The
Dynasties of Russia contest is a special project for Forum participants, which
unites all family dynasties and gives representatives of different generations
an opportunity to show their creative abilities, share knowledge about their
small homeland, tell about their family recipes and demonstrate their erudition.
The contest is organized with the support of the Russian Society
"Knowledge", the program More than a Trip, the art-cluster Tavrida
and the House of Russian Cuisine.
The contest
itself consists of five nominations: "Family Talent Show",
"Connoisseurs of the Motherland", "Knowledge. 'Link between
Generations' Game", "Family Recipes" and "Jack of All
Trades". This program will allow the guests to better understand the
cultural diversity of our country, appreciate the uniqueness of each
participating region and support family art. At the end of the contest, ten
winning families will be chosen in each of the nominations.
89 regions
of Russia took part in the nomination "Connoisseurs of the
Motherland". All families participating in the competition program will
present their region. The main task is to tell vividly and colorfully about the
sights and unique features of their region.
The
Chelpanovsky family from the town of Polarnye Zori presented the Murmansk
region to the forum guests. Their region's stand at the forum was visible from
afar. Everyone could not only get acquainted with the polar region, but also
see the northern lights in all its glory.
"We are natives of the Murmansk region, hereditary Pomors," says Natalia Chelpanovskaya, "and the outfits we are wearing today were worn by our ancestors. My daughter is wearing a maiden image, and I am wearing the image of a married Pomor woman. Our grandmothers wore such outfits".
Denis
Chelpanovsky, the head of the family, introduced the audience to the economic
potential of the Kola Peninsula: "Our region is famous for cloudberries,
fish, reindeer, 70% of minerals are located on the Kola Peninsula. We are
famous for the world's northernmost nuclear power plant and the northern
icebreaker fleet. Our family is interested in our native land, we often go on
hikes, we like to travel as a family both in the Murmansk region and throughout
Russia. And today, of course, we are a little bit nervous to represent our
small homeland to the whole country".
The
Republic of Crimea was represented by a pedagogical dynasty, which has been
engaged in children's education for more than 200 years. The oldest
representatives of the dynasty are sisters: Galina Loseva and Tatiana
Kuznetsova came to Moscow with their husbands, children and grandchildren.
"217
years of pedagogical activity: teachers of history, mathematics, geography,
Russian language, primary grades, head of the children's brass orchestra. And
all this is our big family. And the men in our family gave a total of almost a
hundred years to industrial activity - hydrogeological station. Today we have
seen so many different regions, each has its own peculiarities, its own
history, culture. This elation that we are experiencing now simply cannot be
conveyed in words. Professional dynasties, families with many children are
represented here, many of whom we managed to make friends with. Such an
association of families from different regions is truly inspiring," shared
Ksenia Sharankevich.
The
Crimeans brought useful salts, herbs and other souvenirs from their small
homeland as a gift to the guests of the forum.
The forum
is organized by the Movement of the First, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs
