Audiences of the Open Lecture Hall at the National Centre RUSSIA selected the best scenarios of the future
At the National Centre RUSSIA, the results of the public vote on the scenarios of the Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future: Plots and Stories" were announced. Viewers were invited to choose which of the expert visions for the development of storytelling resonated with them most. Several hundred people took part in the poll.
The strongest audience response was for the theme "Education Through Stories". The leader in this category was American producer and director Mehret Mandefro, whose scenario was supported by almost 49% of participants. The second place with 31.7% of the vote was taken by Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA Natalia Virtuozova, while the ranking was completed by author of the YouTube channel "History by Cherny" Alik Cherny, who received 19.4%.
In the theme "Stories in Advertising and Consumption", the clear winner was business storytelling expert and founder of the Historia Academy Artyom Mushin-Makedonsky, who gained 58.5% of the votes. Co-founder of NorthStar Media Group and former executive at Google and Verizon Ivana Kirkbride received 41.5%.
In the block "Stories in Cinema and Video Games", a confident victory went to CEO of Anantarupa Studios and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Culture Development and Utilisation of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Ivan Chen, whose scenario was supported by 64.5% of participants. Director, screenwriter and producer, and one of the creators of the series "Cybervillage" and the Birchpunk YouTube channel Sergei Vasilyev received 35.5%.
The premiere of the Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future: Plots and Stories" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA on 7 February. The programme of meetings with scientists, futurists and experts from different countries focused on the art of storytelling in advertising, cinema and video games. The original project of the National Centre RUSSIA showed that the ability to tell engaging and meaningful stories today is not only a professional skill, but also a universal tool for education, marketing and building strong emotional connections between people from different countries and cultures.
The next Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future" at the National Centre RUSSIA will take place in April 2026. In addition, the National Centre RUSSIA invites everyone to become co-authors of our future at the III International Symposium "Inventing the Future", which will be held in November 2026 and will be dedicated to the unity of peoples in science, culture and art.
