Football stars at the RUSSIA EXPO
At the country’s main exposition, football fans had a chance to talk to the Russian Football Union’s ambassadors Dmitry Alenichev and Andrey Tikhonov. The pavilion "Sport for Everyone" hosted an autograph session of celebrities.
And FC Zenit head coach Sergei Semak spoke about the club’s plans and shared his opinion on media football — an amateur sport in which teams are formed from popular bloggers, former pros, and amateur footballers.
"As for media football, I welcome its development and the popularisation of football among teenagers and people who spend most of their lives in the media space and social networks. I’m glad we have a media team. My youngest son doesn’t miss a single match of his favourite team. It’s a little bit different kind of football, where there is an immersion in internal affairs, in the internal kitchen — and the fans like it very much!" — said Sergei Semak.
Commenting on the results in the Russian football championship, Sergei Semak noted the success of the FC Zenit women’s team.
"This championship is not easy for us. I hope we will now have time to rest, to prepare for the second stage. I congratulate all our fans on the victory", — said Sergei Semak.
The head coach of the Russian champions also spoke on the topic of postponing matches of the championship due to weather conditions. "We need to work out certain criteria for postponing matches — it’s not only air temperature, but also weather conditions", — said the Zenit coach.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. Throughout the entire time of the exposition, guests will be welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
The II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow from 27 to 29 April.
