The state corporation Roscosmos ensures the implementation of the national policy in the field of space operations and its regulatory and legal regulation, as well as places orders for the development, production and delivery of space equipment and space infrastructure facilities.
Roscosmos is a state corporation established in August 2015 to carry out a comprehensive reform of Russia's rocket and space industry.
The functions of the state corporation also include the promotion of international cooperation in the space sector and the creation of conditions for the use of the results of space operations in Russia's socio-economic development.
The record series of accident-free launches of Russian space launch vehicles has been ongoing since October 2018. By November 2023, 112 launches have been carried out.
The Skif-D satellite launched in 2022 protected Russia's orbital-frequency resource and tested broadband internet access technology.
Roscosmos started the creation of a new Russian Orbital Station (ROS). Its deployment is planned from 2027 to 2032.
