As part of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021–2030), Russia has published a national report on environmental achievements in the Arctic, including the creation of protected areas, waste clean-up and cooperation with indigenous peoples. The document demonstrates Russia’s contribution to ecosystem restoration and will be presented at the international level.
The event was attended by: Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Ruslan Edelgeriyev, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation and Special Presidential Representative on Climate Issues; Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation; Alexei Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. Also among the guests were the heads of administrations of all ten constituent entities forming the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
