Faces of the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye: tour guide Natalia Shalina
One of the tour guides at the branch of the National Centre
RUSSIA in the Primorye region, Natalia Shalina, spoke about her profession and
the things that make visiting the Centre special.
She believes there are many aspects of this work that are genuinely rewarding. These include direct interaction with people, the uniqueness of each tour, and the opportunity to share knowledge of culture and traditions. Guests always ask different questions, so the work
of a guide is never the same.
"For me, it is very important to see people’s emotions.
When you share your knowledge and see that guests become more joyful and
engaged, you are energised yourself. You could say that a tour guide makes
people happier, and that makes you happier too," said Natalia Shalina.
According to Natalia, the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye
is like a heart that never stops beating.
"Here, highly qualified staff create a warm atmosphere.
The branch is located in the very centre of Vladivostok, easily accessible from
any part of the city. Visits are free, there are ramps for people with
disabilities, and the tour guides speak foreign languages. We strive to make
every guest feel comfortable and engaged," noted Natalia Shalina. "If
you want to discover new facets of the Primorye region and feel what it means
to be part of a living world — welcome to the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye!
This is a place you will want to return to again and again."
