Stone souvenirs

The drawings of these souvenirs are created in hollows of ancient shells of cephalopod mollusks — ammonites. It has different shades of yellow, with thin veins of pyrite, sometimes found with voids filled with pyrite crystals — geodes. The stone-cutting enterprise "AMMOND" was founded in 1990. It specializes in the extraction and processing of stones, minerals and paleontological specimens. Stone from which products are made, has a unique composition, typical for mineral deposits in the Ulyanovsk region: magnesian calcite (simbircite), aragonite, fossil mother-of-pearl (flammalite), pyrite and marlstone, as well as hematite, dolomite, quartz and chabazite.
