17 million guests visited the RUSSIA EXPO
On June 26, the International RUSSIA EXPO welcomed its
17-millionth visitor. The milestone guest was Yegor Morozov, who came to the
exposition from Volgograd with his wife Olga and their two children:
six-year-old Andrei and nine-year-old Ivan.
"This is a big surprise for us. We are delighted to be
here and see everything in person. It's very sad that the Exposition is
closing, but we hope it will reopen in a different format. It’s a great place
to visit with the whole family and see what a large and great country we
have," noted Yegor Morozov.
The guests received gifts from the RUSSIA EXPO and the
Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region. In a festive ceremony, they were
awarded a certificate for a three-day trip to the Nizhny Novgorod region,
organized by the ANO "Nizhny Novgorod Region Hospitality Agency".
"Today, our Exposition welcomed its 17-millionth guest.
Yegor and his entire family came to us from Volgograd, and as a gift, they
received a trip to Nizhny Novgorod. Currently, our exposition sees a maximum
flow of guests — at least 100,000 people daily. I want to remind you that the
RUSSIA EXPO closes on July 8: those who haven't yet visited are welcome to
come!" said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the RUSSIA EXPO.
During the trip, Yegor Morozov and his family will visit the
most beautiful and significant places in Nizhny Novgorod — the Nizhny Novgorod
Kremlin, the "Russian Art" museum, the Chkalov Staircase, the 800th
Anniversary Park of Nizhny Novgorod, and the Upper Volga Embankment. The
17-millionth guest and his relatives will also enjoy a river cruise on the
Volga and Oka rivers and a visit to Gorodets — a city founded by Yuri
Dolgorukiy, now renowned for preserving traditions and folk arts.
"We will offer the family of the 17-millionth visitor a
rich program, so in these three days, they will be convinced that Nizhny
Novgorod is 100% real Russia! It’s wonderful that the organizers of the RUSSIA
EXPO have provided visitors with the opportunity to experience one of the
regions of our large and beautiful country in person!" said Igor Zotov,
Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
On June 15, the Exposition welcomed its 16-millionth guest.
She was seven-year-old Elizaveta from Moscow, who came to the exposition with
her eleven-year-old brother Roman and mother Natalia Yelshina. Elizaveta was
congratulated at the Samara region's stand and given a certificate for a family
trip to this region.
The 15-millionth visitor to the exposition, Natalia
Korneyeva from Yalta, was welcomed on June 5. The milestone visitor was
congratulated at the North Ossetia-Alania stand. She received a certificate for
a family trip to the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, where three significant
dates are being celebrated this year: the 100th anniversary of the Republic's
creation, the 250th anniversary of Ossetia's integration with Russia, and the
240th anniversary of Vladikavkaz city.
On April 6, the exposition ceremoniously greeted its
10-millionth visitor, Konstantin Panfilov, who came with his wife from
