Actor Yury Chursin: "The Symposium helps us search for ideas for tomorrow"
The II International Symposium "Inventing the Future" is an important event in terms of generating ideas for the future, said theatre and film actor Yury Chursin in an interview with the Press Office of the National Centre RUSSIA.
"It is important that the focus is placed on addressing the minds of young people, on their fresh ideas and on developing a new vision of the future. We have reached a point where boundaries extend beyond states and science has become universal. That is wonderful, because a young mind can make a discovery that benefits all humankind," said Yury Chursin.
The actor also shared a creative idea — to star in a film based on a story about a world without the Internet.
"The Internet has become a crutch that has replaced many human abilities, while preventing them from developing," he emphasised.
In addition, Yury Chursin took part in the educational event "The History of the Future: The Technologies of Science Fiction", held within the framework of the Symposium. Public figures — actors, writers, and scientists — read excerpts from Soviet science fiction, while young participants answered questions about great discoveries that once existed only in the imagination of writers.
