On the eve of the centenary of the Artek International Children's Centre, its camp counsellors visited the National Centre RUSSIA. They were introduced to the mission and objectives of the space and were taken on tours of two expositions — "Journey Across Russia" and "The Birth of Scale."

"To know and love your country, to be proud of its past, to value the present, to create the future, to inspire and lead the world — this is the mission of the National Centre RUSSIA, established by the directive of our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. And who, if not educators, truly know how to inspire and lead? That is why the events we organise together with Artek are among the most meaningful and important as part of our mission to inspire — both children and adults," said Vasilisa Yachmeneva, manager of the volunteer programme at the National Centre RUSSIA and an Artek alumna.

She noted that the goals of the National Centre RUSSIA include not only showcasing achievements and strengthening national identity, but also developing the professional skills of children and young people.

Yelena Zhivoglyad, First Deputy Director of the Artek International Children's Centre, shared her impressions of visiting the National Centre RUSSIA and the interactive exposition "Journey Across Russia."

"This is a wonderful, incredible place. I felt immense pride knowing that tomorrow, during the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Artek International Children's Centre, all our guests will be able to visit this exposition and learn more about the beautiful corners of our rich country. Artek can also be considered a true treasure of Russia," Yelena Zhivoglyad emphasised.

According to her, this event will remain in the memory of the entire country, and the National Centre RUSSIA is a perfect venue for hosting such a large-scale celebration.

Graduates of the Artek International Children's Centre from all regions of Russia and various countries around the world will come to the National Centre RUSSIA on June 4. Guests will be welcomed with a festive concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the camp. This event will mark the beginning of cooperation between the National Centre RUSSIA and Artek.
