Artek in the heart of the country: camp counsellors visited the National Centre RUSSIA
On the eve
of the centenary of the Artek International Children's Centre, its camp
counsellors visited the National Centre RUSSIA. They were introduced to the
mission and objectives of the space and were taken on tours of two expositions
— "Journey Across Russia" and "The Birth of Scale."
"To
know and love your country, to be proud of its past, to value the present, to
create the future, to inspire and lead the world — this is the mission of the
National Centre RUSSIA, established by the directive of our President Vladimir
Vladimirovich Putin. And who, if not educators, truly know how to inspire and
lead? That is why the events we organise together with Artek are among the most
meaningful and important as part of our mission to inspire — both children and
adults," said Vasilisa Yachmeneva, manager of the volunteer programme at
the National Centre RUSSIA and an Artek alumna.
She noted
that the goals of the National Centre RUSSIA include not only showcasing
achievements and strengthening national identity, but also developing the
professional skills of children and young people.
Yelena
Zhivoglyad, First Deputy Director of the Artek International Children's Centre,

National Centre RUSSIA is a perfect venue for hosting such a large-scale
