Astrakhan Governor Igor Babushkin invited to the RUSSIA EXPO

There are only 12 days left until the opening of the International RUSSIA EXPO. Igor Babushkin, Governor of the Astrakhan region, spoke about the achievements of his region and invited the country’s residents to visit the RUSSIA EXPO.

The head of the region noted the special geostrategic position of the Astrakhan region, and reminded that it is a multifunctional logistic complex, the center of the international transport corridor "North-South". Igor Babushkin also noted the tourist potential of the region. 

"This is a place of attraction for millions of tourists who come here to enjoy the natural beauty of Volga, famous fishing, man-made miracle — the Astrakhan Kremlin and other attractions of the cultural capital of the Caspian Sea region", — said Igor Babushkin.

A special flavor of the Astrakhan region is given by the historical multinational nature of this territory.

Today it is home to about 150 nationalities, each of them enriching the culture and traditions of the region. 

It should be reminded that the central place in the Astrakhan exposition is occupied by a multimedia lotus, which symbolizes the harmony of the unique nature of the region and the achievements of modern technologies. 

It will be possible to see the stand of the Astrakhan region, as well as to appreciate the expositions of other regions of the country at the International RUSSIA EXPO, which will be opened on November 4.
