Driverless taxis, virtual walks and digital services for life in a metropolis: Smart City at VDNH
Artificial
intelligence that manages traffic in a multi-million metropolis, mobile
applications that help a person solve almost any everyday issue, and even a
personal medical record in your phone. At the RUSSIA EXPO you can learn about
the technologies that make the life of Moscow residents more comfortable and mobile
every day.
Not far
from the main pavilion of the International RUSSIA EXPO, you can visit a
multimedia exposition of Moscow technologies called Smart City. The pavilion
takes visitors to a modern and technological world where every achievement
serves for the benefit of the citizen.
For
example, it makes traveling around the city safe, fast and comfortable. Smart
intersections help to avoid jamming by switching traffic lights depending on
the real traffic, which is analyzed by special sensors in the road surface.
Priority is given to public transport and pedestrians. Artificial intelligence
reads the indicators of the driver of urban transport, preventing cases of
falling asleep at the wheel. Another interesting exhibit is a driverless taxi,
which is controlled by artificial intelligence.
"It's
a very interesting tour. Especially transport, I can't even believe that there
are so many things in Moscow. It was great to ride in a driverless taxi. But in
reality, I wouldn't dare to sit in one yet", - admits Maria Korableva, an
exposition visitor from the Vladimir region, with a laugh.
So far
driverless taxis in the capital are working in test mode. But in 10 years they
may become a common way of transportation for us.
The health
care zone is equally impressive. Here you can learn all about the possibilities
of modern medical technologies and useful services for patients. For example,
the pavilion talks about the possibilities of the electronic medical card,
where citizens can always have information about their health and children's
health at hand. A special attention of visitors was attracted by the anatomical
3D atlas - the Pirogov table. On the interactive screen you can study the
structure of the human body and compare healthy and damaged organs. For the
guests of the pavilion, it is just an interesting entertainment, but for
medical students it is a great help in their studies. Such tables have already
appeared in medical classes of Moscow schools.
Smart City is interesting for everyone, but especially for children. The whole space is interactive and comes to life with the touch of visitors. You can launch a transportation network, build a digital twin of the Ostankino district and explore the entire VDNH, find and "neutralize" malfunctions in houses with the help of an interactive exhibit, play Tetris with large machinery and learn how to dispose of it using the service "Removal of unnecessary things" on the mos.ru portal. Alsoб during the excursion it is possible to become a participant of the quest and get a memorable gift for its completion.
And at the end of the excursion guests will get another surprise - a visit to the VR-cinema. With the help of virtual reality technologies, the audience can "walk" along the roofs of Moscow, visit the National Hotel and watch historical movies.
Quantum technologies are the key to digital sovereignty, security, and breakthrough discoveries. We are not copying anyone else's path — we are creating our own.
At the National Centre RUSSIA, a panel pitching session titled "Investments in Technology" was held within the framework of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth".
The final panel pitching session for the "Investments in Connectivity" track took place on 29 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
