Ticket to Tavrida, Mary Gu and hundreds of participants: bright art session at the RUSSIA EXPO
The first
educational run of the Tavrida Art Cluster ended with a colorful show
"Ticket to Tavrida" and a performance by singer Mary Gu at the RUSSIA
EXPO. Participants of art schools: street art, choreography, puppet theater,
street theater and contemporary music demonstrated their results during the
show. Within the framework of the International RUSSIA EXPO, 344 participants
from 54 regions of Russia and Uzbekistan took part in the session at VDNH.
The participants
of the "Tavrida.ART — Only in Russia" session received a certificate
of advanced training from the Theater School named after B. Shchukin, created
art objects in industrial style, attended open theater performances, recorded
50 new tracks, took part in dance and music castings.
For the
first time in the 10 years of the art cluster's existence, the Tavrida
educational event was held outside of Crimea — in Moscow. The peculiarity of
the session was the open formats for the visitors of the RUSSIA EXPO. From June
2 to June 8, 10 performances from street theaters "Trickster",
"Plasticine Rain", "Sketches in Space", "Petrovsky
Village Theater", open lectures on street art and music industry, dance
battle, musical apartment concert, meeting-discussion with young performers:
the group 5UTRA, Zhenya Trofimov and ZAPOLYA were held. There was an open flash
mob in honor of the 225th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin and a circus parafe
"The Art of Circus".
During the
session for musical performers and dancers at VDNH, auditions for the creative
team of the Festival of Young Multinational Art "Tavrida.ART" were
held. At the same time, the participants were selected for the third season of
the musical show "Get into Trends". Out of 160 participants of the
dance casting, 40 people received an invitation to the ballet
"Tavrida.ART". More than 150 people took part in the musical
castings. The winners will perform with show business stars and residents of
the Tavrida Art Cluster. The results of the musical auditions will be known
later.
Participants
of the puppet theater art school worked on stage breathing and movement, delved
into the thinking of a puppeteer and the subtleties of directing, attended
discussions on the philosophy of modern theater, as well as puppet performances
of theater groups. As a result, the artists received a certificate of advanced
training from the Theater School named after B. Shchukin. They also presented
their ideas at the pitching of the Big Children's Festival.
Young
artists and directors of the street theater art school exchanged experience and
discussed the nuances of professional activity in the following areas:
equipping the street stage, working with a rider, working with a mask and
props, copyright protection, submitting applications and participation in
street festivals. The participants received a certificate of advanced training
from the Theater School named after B. Shchukin. They also presented their
ideas at the pitching of the Big Children's Festival.
The creator
of the first street theater in Crimea Evgeny Pavlov told how he will use the
acquired knowledge in his work.
"New
knowledge and skills in directing have significantly influenced the improvement
of the concepts of the performances I am currently working on with the team. We
have also strengthened professional ties with colleagues from other theaters,
which definitely fosters friendships between artists from different regions.
For me, the knowledge and skills I gained during the training are an
opportunity to improve my current work in the theater so that I can create
programs in other cities in the future. It was useful to get honest feedback
from experts, which helps to improve and develop professionally," said
Evgeny Pavlov.
Theater
groups from different regions of Russia performed for the participants of the
art school and guests of VDNH.
Artists of
graffiti, murals and calligraphy at the street art school attended
masterclasses and creative lectures on how to develop in art and not to be
afraid to talk about their creative work. The final work of the participants of
the art school was the creation of 15 art objects in industrial style, which
will be integrated into the site of the Tavrida Art Cluster and will decorate
the Festival of street art in Sudak this fall. After the educational run, the
best participants will be selected for the Youth Creative Community of Visual
Arts.
Regina
Yafasova, curator of the street art school and organizer of the All-Russian
Street Art Festival 33ZAGFEST, spoke about the development of the modern
creative community.
"At
Tavrida, people "make art" and inspire others to do so. Our goal is
to show that contemporary street art is in demand, it helps to change entire
cities and regions, creates a new generation of street artists who are
interested in decorating, not destroying," shared Regina Yafasova.
In the art
school of contemporary music, musicians, singer-songwriters, producers,
composers and arrangers spent more than 60 hours in the recording studio and
recorded 50 tracks. The hits of the participants were performed at the closing
ceremony of the "Tavrida.ART — Only in Russia", and the best of them
will be released on the "Tavrida.ART" music label and presented as
part of the program of the Festival of Young Multinational Art
"Tavrida.ART" in Crimea.
Choreographers
and dancers from the art school of choreography attended 17 masterclasses on
various dance directions and listened to two lectures from leading experts of
the dance industry. The educational formats of the art school took place in the
pavilions and outdoor areas of VDNH, as well as in the halls of the Russian
Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and Boyarsky Hall.
Following
the results of the art school, the best participants performed at the closing
ceremony of the Tavrida educational program at VDNH. One of them — Daria Kudryavtseva,
told about the possibilities of Tavrida and her impressions.
"Unique
opportunities for self-expression open up at Tavrida. Participation in the art
school of choreography is a colossal experience, a challenge and a stimulus. I
also managed to take part in the casting, and thanks to meticulous preparation,
to impress the jury and the audience," said Daria Kudryavtseva.
The
Rosmolodezh.Grants competition held by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs
took place as part of the program. Participants attended individual
consultations and lectures from expert mentors of Rosmolodezh.Grants Dmitry
Nogtev, Svetlana Astakhova and Evgeny Naydenov, where they learned about the
possibilities of grant support and received practical tools of social design.
As a result, three winners from the Republic of Karelia, the Pskov region and
the Republic of Buryatia received 1,940,000 rubles to implement their ideas.
On June 11,
the second educational session of the season — "Gagarin Session" —
will open at Tavrida. It will include art schools "Space and Art",
fashion industry, graphic design, marketing and advertising, contemporary art.
