Pancakes, dumplings, gingerbread: a feast of Far Eastern products held at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye
A series of festive events dedicated to domestic culinary
traditions of celebrating the New Year has concluded at the Primorye branch of
the National Centre RUSSIA. During these days, guests of the venue have sampled
gingerbread (pryaniki) with ginseng and sea cucumber, over 1,000 dumplings
(pelmeni), and more than 350 pancakes with various fillings.
"Gastronomic holidays featuring workshops and tastings,
which we hold here at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye, are a unique
opportunity for our guests to discover the diversity of Russian culinary
traditions. Primarily, these are dishes of Far Eastern cuisine: our chefs
demonstrate how to easily and correctly prepare products characteristic of our
region," said Vitaly Stanislavchuk, Head of the National Centre RUSSIA in
Primorye.
Traditional Far Eastern sweets are also offered at the National Centre RUSSIA in Vladivostok. During the New Year holidays, guests had a chance to try gingerbread with various local fillings, including red caviar and sea cucumber.
These culinary products were awarded at an international gingerbread art festival in 2024.
In 2026, gastronomic holidays will continue to be held at
the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye every few weeks. Additionally, off-site
children's workshops in schools of Vladivostok are planned.
