Blogger and pianist Lorenzo Bagnati shared his secrets of success at the RUSSIA EXPO
Venice-born
blogger and pianist Lorenzo Bagnati held a masterclass and gave advice to young
musicians at the Music of Life Music Culture Forum, which started at the RUSSIA
EXPO.
The
musician said that he felt drawn to Russia since childhood. "My parents
are musicians, they let me listen to Russian piano players, who are the best in
the world. I began to love Russian culture from a distance. At the age of
seven, I enrolled in a conservatory in Italy. And ten years later I had a
reason to visit Russia - I was invited to give concerts in Moscow. I literally
fell in love with this city and the Moscow rhythm of life", Lorenzo
Bagnati told the story of his acquaintance with Russia.
"In
Moscow I met very good music teachers. I was faced with a choice: to study in
Germany, Austria, America, Russia... Strange as it may seem, everywhere I had
to study with Russian teachers! I thought: why would I study with a Russian
teacher in Germany, Austria, America, if I could do the same here? And your
culture is closer to me. I am very glad that I made this decision", - the
pianist added.
Lorenzo
Bagnati spoke in detail about how he gained popularity on social networks. The
musician, who has more than 750,000 people subscribed to YouTube channel alone,
said that he started by recording videos on abstract topics - for example,
Lorenzo shared with his audience the same words in Russian and Italian.
"The most important thing is to be yourself, to be sincere, open and feel the response of the audience. I started with stories about languages and continued with my life, traveling. I told stories about food, about music... It's important not to limit yourself to certain topics", - said Lorenzo Bagnati.
"I'm always in favor of improvisation. For example, it would be very cool to post something about the RUSSIA EXPO. The viewers will definitely appreciate the blogger's desire to do something in the moment", - Lorenzo Bagnati added.
